NTRP TOURNAMENT NOTES and DATES- Please read before registering
NTRP players must have USTA ratings (either self or computer) Entry fee includes a commemorative t-shirt and daily snacks. We are offering new awards this year, special SCU logo wear that we know you will love. NTRP SINGLES- All NTRP Singles divisions will be played July 16-18 with July 24-25 used only in the event of enormous draws. Players may play one singles and one doubles or one doubles events. Players may not play two doubles. All doubles draws will start the same weekend with the goal of completing the same weekend. We cannot guarantee no play for doubles the 2nd weekend but will do our best to get as many draws done the first as possible. With no Open divisions, we believe we can do this. Should 2nd weekend play be needed, it would be extremely limited, and only Saturday if possible. Refunds are not granted for those who cannot make the 2nd weekend. Draws over 16 will start on Friday and draws will be limited to 64. Should the need to play two rounds on Friday exist, we will have two rounds of play. You should be available to play on Friday as early as noon if needed if you are in Men's 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 singles. If you are in Men's 5.0 Men's singles there is a chance you will need to play Friday, but as these draws are not usually as big it would be later in the day. Those who cannot play on Friday that register do so at their own risk. Refunds are not granted to those who cannot play on Friday. We cannot accommodate schedule request due to the sizes of our draws. We will do our best but cannot guarantee that draws 16 or less will start on Saturday. Our inability to handle schedule requests is due to our desire to try to keep the tournament to one weekend. We have never needed to start women's singles on Friday, but reserve the right to if needed.

Doubles Entries- One division only
Regrettably, we can only allow players the opportunity to play one doubles event in this tournament as we will be attempting to complete the tournament in one weekend.

Tournament Director Selection Process- What does it mean?
Frankly, very little for the players. We use this process because it makes it easier to not have to refund money should a draw not be big enough to hold. You will receive confirmation when you register that your credit card has been charged $0, this is because you are not charged until entries close and we process your entries. Do not be alarmed, we have yet to have to keep anyone out of a tournament because draws are too big! Again, this is basically just an administrative tool. Once we process entries, you will receive an automated email from Tennis Link. It will say the following... 1. You were selected and charged. 2. You were selected but there was a problem charging you. This usually is an expired card issue. Email jscalese@scu.edu asap to arrange payment by check. 3. You were not selected- The only players that were not selected into the draw are players who registered for events without significant entries.

SCU Parking Procedures and Check in Procedures
Parking all weekend, Friday and Saturday specifics- Avoid C spots!
Please note, if you have a Friday match, you will have to pay for parking until 8pm. To purchase a pass, drive past the Leavy Stadium and go to the main entrance on the left to purchase a pass. We strongly recommend you park on El Camino Real to avoid parking fees. We will not accomodate late arrivals due to parking issues. You should arrive at least 20 minutes early to accomodate for the distance from parking to the courts. You are late if you are not checked in by the time your match is scheduled, you are defaulted 15 minutes after... checked in means you have gone to the bathroom, put on your gear etc...
IN ADDITION, THE SPOTS THAT SAY 24 HOUR ENFORCED "C" SPOTS MEAN JUST THAT. ANY DAY OF THE WEEK INCLUDING WEEKENDS YOU WILL RECEIVE A TICKET IN THOSE SPOTS. OTHER PLAYERS HAVE IGNORED THIS WARNING, SO DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. AS ALWAYS, THE TOURNAMENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS, THESE VIOLATIONS MAY BE UP TO $50. DON'T TEMPT THE SCU PARKING PATROL! PARKING TICKETS ARE A BIG BUSINESS AT SCU!
Saturday parking- Until 4pm all spots (except C- always restricted) are free. At 4pm, all but B spots will be closed due to the San Jose Earthquakes soccer game. When pulling in to Accolti you can find B spots on the right lot next to the courts and across the street next to the dorms. Note- There are not many matches after 4pm so there should be plenty of parking as soccer fans cannot park in the B spots.
Sunday parking- other than C spots, all are open.
