| THANK YOU FOR PLAYING! |
It was a great weekend for tennis and socializing at New England's first Senior Slams event! Special thanks to Ken & Dorcas Miller, who have worked for almost two years planning and setting up the tournaments.
Also thanks to tournament director Todd Nicholson for organizing the details, and to Matt Fraenza for assisting at the tournament desk and with the mike. USTA Official Tom Fayed commented that this was a great group of players to work with, and we at USTA New England second that.

| Comment received from a Senior Slams at Yale Player: |
To USTA New England,
I've been a New England USTA member for over 25 years and usually play 3-6 tournaments each year. The experience has been one of the highlights of my sports life. I have my favorite tournaments that I try to play each year and this past week I added another tournament to that list of favorites. The Senior Slam at Yale was a well- organized, expertly run tournament in a great venue. The tournament director, Todd Nicholson, was competent, very friendly and accomodating, as was his assistant Matt Fraenza.
This was the first tournament that I've played where singles stakes were used and where there was a tournament referee. The referee, Tom Fayed, would walk from court to court monitoring play and insuring that play was moving properly. These are just some of the reasons that this tournament has gone to the top of my favorites list.
I've heard that Ken & Dorcas Miller were prime movers behind organizing the New England Senior Slams. My thanks and sincere congratulations go out to them for great work. I hope that senior slams will continue for a long time. The seniors who missed this tournament missed a great experience.
p.s. The cocktail party was a big success too.
