REGISTRATION INFORMATION
You must enter before noon Eastern time (9am Pacifice time) on July 15th. If you have any issues with your registration online, please contact the Tennis Link help desk at linkteam@usta.com. DOUBLES SIGN-UP
You can sign up for doubles at any point from now through 4 pm on Saturday, August 7th. Even if you signed up on Tennis Link you will need to confirm your doubles partner before the tournament begins. PRACTICE COURTS & HITTING LESSONS
Practice Courts and hitting lessons will be available to reserve beginning on Monday, July 19th. Hitting lessons are available beginning on Monday, August 3rd and practice courts are available at any time.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
All participants of THE NATIONALS, must have a medical release form filled out and signed by your parents BEFORE YOU ARRIVE FOR CHECK-IN. This is a standard USTA form and can be downloaded here:

WILDCARDS
There are 8 wild card spots in both the 16's and 18's Divisions. In order to eligible for a wild card you must fill out a wild card application and send to the USTA office within 5 days of the close of entries. Please click here for a wild card application.

SCHEDULE
There is a MANDATORY PLAYER'S MEETING on Saturday, August 7th at 5pm. Tournament check-in will be held from 10am - 4:30 that same day. Matches in both Girls 16s and 18s singles will begin on Sunday, August 8th at 8am and we will continue with one round of singles in the main draw each day with the finals to be held on Sunday, August 15th. Consolation matches will begin with two rounds on Tuesday and continue with two rounds per day through Saturday and the finals of Consolation on Sunday. We will also be playing at least one round of doubles on Sunday.

DRAWS AND SEEDING
Seeds will be posted at the latest on Friday, July 31. Seeding will be based on the July 28th standings list. Draws will be posted at the latest on Tuesday, August 3rd. If you would like more information on how the seeds are done please click here:

WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS
If a player needs to withdraw from the tournament before play has begun, she must contact the tournament director by email. In order to receive a refund, we will need a written medical excuse signed and faxed to the tournament by the start of play. Refunds will be sent (not including the Tennis Link service charge) after the conclusion of the tournament. After the tournament has begun, a player desiring to withdraw from singles and/or doubles for any reason must notify the Tournament Director and the Tournament Referee before leaving the facility. If the reason is for injury or illness, the player must meet with the Trainer and/or the Medical Director in order to verify the illness or injury. Players failing to follow these procedures will be defaulted and their points for the event will not count unless for an injury or illness, a written verification from a medical professional is received before the end of the event or, in the case of a personal emergency, a written explanation is received by the same date and both the referee and tournament director determine the situation is for a personal emergency.

DRESS CODE
This is a USTA National Championship Event and with that in mind we ask all participants to wear appropriate tennis attire during their matches, this included both singles and doubles. Attire that is recreational and not tennis oriented is not acceptable. T-shirts will be not be allowed unless it is the tournament t-shirt that we give you at check-in. Players not meeting the dress code may be asked to change prior to going on the court. PLEASE PACK ACCORDINGLY!

MATCH FORMATS
The USTA National Jr. Competition Committee approved new guidelines for match formats in National Championships. In the Singles Main Draw matches will be best of 3 tie-break sets, Singles Consolation will be 2 sets with a 10 point match tie-break for the 3rd. Doubles will be 2 sets with a match tie-break up through the Quarter-finals. For more information click here:

They will be shooting matches by Appointment, so please SIGN UP early. You can text or call them at 214-543-5437. Their photo viewing booth will be based at the Barnes Tennis Center but they will also be shooting at the satellite sites.

The Forum will be held at the Mission Valley Hilton and will be open to any player who has finished their Junior year of high school. FREE USTA COACHES WORKSHOP
Free USTA workshop Friday, August 13 1:00 - 3:00. Ola Malmqvist, USTA National Coach for Women'snTennis and USTA Coach Sarah Taylor will present the USTA philosophy, how they work and demonstration of drills. This is a good educational event for coaches, players and parents.

Facilities: The home site of the Nationals is the Barnes Tennis
Center located at 4490 W. Point Loma Blvd. From the Airport turn
right onto Harbor Drive and continue about a mile. At Nimitz turn
right and stay on for approx. 3 miles. At West Point Loma Blvd.
take another right turn and immediately get in the left lane. The
entrance to the tennis center is the same entrance as the Mariner's
Cove Apartment Complex. We are about 10 minutes from airport. The
facility has 21 hard courts, 4 clay cts, snack shop, player
shower/lounge, etc. Official Tournament Ball: Wilson US Open
Amenities: All players will receive T-shirts & gift bags at
check-in. Racquet stringing and a trainer are available on site.

Players are selected from a variety of National Lists and generally require Section endorsement.
Entry Type
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left.
