Doubles will begin Saturday morning at 8 AM and Sunday morning at 8 AM with singles following on both days.

Please check your doubles partners and confirm you are with the correct partner by noon tommorrow.It will be too late to make any changes at that point. January

Players not selected for singles will not be selected for doubles.* Players selected for doubles will be in this order

· 1. Players selected for singles in that age group

· 2. Players selected for singles in any age group

· 3. Players not selected for singles*

· 4. Players applying for doubles only*


PLEASE FIND YOUR OWN DOUBLES PARTNER. *A tournament director may chose to accept these players after the deadline. These players will enter by phone, e-mail or fax and entered through TDM.

Tournament directors will need to determine the policy to accepting players without partners, pairing players, etc.
Please try to find your own doubles partner.

Friday KRC courts will be available from 3 until 8 SAt.KRC & CBRC 6:45-7:15,7:15-7:45 UT 7:00-8:00 The cost for indoor courts will be $8 per half hour. We will ask you to split so that everyone will have a chance to warm up Outdoor courts will be available at krc all day

FRIDAY NIGHT 5-7 AT KNOXVILLE RACQUET CLUB.

Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines:
#1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for, will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division.
#2. Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division.
#3. Players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected.
#4. Once a player is selected for any one division NO changes can be made.

USTA SOUTHERN SEEDING CRITERIA
USTA Southern Level 1, 2 and 3 Tournaments

SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list.
Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists:
• Southern Closed Championships (June) Published List on Monday prior to tournament start
• Southern Championships (other than June) Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start
• Southern Designated Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start
• Southern Level 3 Published List used for Selections tournament start

In addition to the list, other criteria to consider:
• Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division.
• Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

DOUBLES SEEDING CRITERIA
• Teams shall be seeded in the order of their combined standings (e.g., Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A & B would have combined standing of 11.) Teams that have the same combined standing shall be seeded in the order of the total number of Ranking points held by each team.
• Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings may be considered for seeding.

ENTERING TWO (2) TOURNAMENTS - DO NOT DO THIS
Do not enter two tournaments at the same time.

How to avoid Penalties: If you end up on the alternate list,you must withdraw from the alternate list first and then enter the second event. Tournaments have different deadlines that will allow you time to make changes.

Please withdraw from tournament using TennisLink before the registration closes.
Go to tennislink and click" register for this tournament"....it will say you are already registered....look to the left of the page....you will see "withdrawal" click on this and enter your confirmation number. This can only be done up untill 11:59 PM at close of registration.
If you withdraw after January 09, 2010 11:59 PM ,YOU WILL NOT receive a refund no matter
You must withdraw by E-mail!!!! DO NOT CALL. We need written proof.

Please if you are on the alternates list and it's Wednesday and you will not be able to play ...please send an E-mail so that someone else can be contacted if there is a withdraw from main draw.

NEW RULE FOR MATCH CHECK IN:/
Regulation IV.A.2 now states "The referee may penalize a player who is on site for lateness if a court is available and the player has failed to check in at the tournament desk by the scheduled match time."

This means, if there is one open court at 10:00 and there are three matches to put on the referee will start the clock for lateness for anyone who has not checked in for the 10:00-- Even though there are not enough courts for all three matches.

1. The first matches of each will begin promptly at 8:00 please be checked in and on your court at 7:45.

2. For all matches after 8:00 , please check in at the tournament desk 30 minutes before your scheduled match time. Do not wait until 9:59 to check in for a 10:00 match. Please check-in 30 minutes before your scheduled match. If there are open courts , we need to put matches on ASAP. PLEASE go to the bathroom,fill your water bottle,ETC before you check in.

3. Once you have checked in, please stay near the tournament desk until we tell you the court assignment. You must be where you can hear us call your name after you check in.

4.We will be watching the clock for lateness. please do not ask us if your opponent has checked in - you have other things to think about. The staff and the Referee will take care of lateness issues you need only to worry about your own timeliness.
