CATA Gran Prix Jr Tour - Austin Tennis Academy Open (Non-Sanctioned)

Please check your draw carefully to see what DAY and TIME you play your first match and WHAT LOCATION you are playing at. We are using 2 sites, ATA and Lake Travis High School. These sites are approximately 10 minutes from each other. Click "Draws" and then choose your draw from the drop down menu.

The Austin Tennis Academy ATA is located in southwest Austin inside the Spanish Oaks community. Our physical address is 6800 Spanish Oaks Club Blvd., Austin, Texas 78738. ATA is located .2 miles west from the intersection of Hwy 620 and Hwy 71W. Look for the McCoy's Building Supply sign on your right and get in the left hand lane, make a left into Spanish Oaks, go to the second round about and we are on your left. OUR ADDRESS DOES NOT WORK ON YAHOO MAPS OR ON SOME GPS SYSTEMS. MAPQUEST and GOOGLE MAPS DO WORK. If your GPS doesn't find a location West of HWY 620 for our physical address, you can use the address to McCoy's which is 13324 W Highway 71, Bee Cave, TX 78738. We are looking forward to seeing you at the Austin Tennis Academy’s CATA Gran Prix Jr Tour event! The Austin Tennis Academy is a training program for junior tennis players who aspire to achieve excellence through tennis–it is a group of coaches, players and parents dedicated to pursuing excellence in tennis and life. The mission of the Austin Tennis Academy is to create a local junior tennis community, dedicated to developing students to their fullest potential in tennis, academics and character. One of our primary objectives is to help students use tennis to help them make the perfect college choice. The flagship service of the Austin Tennis Academy is the Academy Program. The Academy Program is tennis training and fitness training for top level players and those that aspire to be top level players. Top level in this case means Superchamp level in the USTA Texas Section and nationally ranked players in the United States and for those with the talent and drive, success at the National and International level. Players in the Academy program look at their lives through the prism of being a tennis athlete. They train on and off the court, they travel to meet the competition, they are focused on lofty goals in tennis performance. You can still sign up for doubles. There will be a sign up sheet at the tournament Friday evening and Saturday morning. You must sign up by noon on Saturday. If you don't have a partner, we will try to pair you up with someone else who is looking for a partner. Draws will be made by level, not by age or gender. WE WILL ALSO OFFER A PARENT/CHILD DOUBLES DIVISION. Players may only play in one doubles division. Teams will play 2-3 doubles matches on Saturday afternoon/evening starting no earlier than 4:00 pm. Doubles will be completed on Saturday evening. There are no trophies for doubles.

All matches will be 8 game pro-sets no-add scoring with a 10 point tie break at 7-all.

Larger singles draws will begin Friday evening, no earlier than 6:00 pm and continue through Saturday. Smaller draws will begin Saturday morning. Weather permitting, all matches will be completed on Saturday. Doubles will be played Saturday evening no earlier than 4:00 pm.

Qualified division is for champ and superchamp level players only. All other players should enter the Non-Qualified division including all ZAT level players. All doubles events are Open (meaning any level player who is age eligible may enter - all levels are combined).

Please email me at brian.notis@austintennisacademy.com if you need to withdraw from the tournament after the deadline. Include your name, division and reason for withdrawing. There are no refunds for withdrawals after the entry deadline or for weather related cancellations.

Please register at your playing site 15-30 minutes before your first match. You will then also need to check in for each of your matches (including your first match) when you are ready to play (before your scheduled time, of course) and stay within earshot of the tournament desk.
