IMPORTANT JUNIOR SUSPENSION NOTES
Please note the rules below pertain to ALL sanctioned North Carolina and Southern tournaments.
11. “A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments is scheduled to overlap unless each tournament committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing.”
12. “Player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament.”
What if placed on an alternate list? There are two options:
1. Stay on the alternate lists in hope of getting into the tournament.
2. Withdraw from the alternate list so you can legally enter another tournament.
Rule violations are from Friend at Court (reg. 1N. 11 and 12)

SEEDING
This tournament’s seeding will be done in accordance with USTA Regulations. They will be compiled and examined by the Head Referee, Tournament Director, and members of the Tournament Committee.
Factors to consider in seeding (take from “Friend at Court”)
Seedings merely represent the Committee’s subjective ratings of the various players’ chances of winning the tournament. These ratings may not be based on whim, caprice, or hunches, but instead shall be justified by a reasonable amount of factual evidence, including, but not limited to, rankings, current records, types of surface, and particularly head to head encounters. Two outstanding doubles players playing together for the first time should be considered for a place on the seeded list.
|
LIMITED DRAWS
All divisions are limited to 16 players each. The Tournament Director also reserves the right to allow more players into a division than the entry limit if possible.
|
SELECTION PROCESS
The top players applying from the USTA/NC most current standings list will be selected into the draw. Selections will be posted no later than the Monday after the deadline at 5:00 PM. The names of players who have been selected will appear as “Competitors.”
|
ALTERNATES
The alternates by event report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you can not participate. It is the alternates’ responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change providing the correct information is on your membership profile. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately.
