DRAWS - 1ST MATCH TIMES
Draws and first match times will be posted no later than 9am Thurs. April 23rd. Please get you first match time on the website and DO NOT call for your times. All check in will be at Florence Country Club. IF YOU ARE CHECKING IN ON SATURDAY YOU MUST BE THERE ONE HOUR BEFORE YOUR START TIME.
THAT MEANS 7 AM FOR A 8 AM MATCH.

MEDICAL RELEASE
MEDICAL RELEASE is now required by Southern prior to playing matches. Parents or Guardians must sign. Please print the form listed above under "tournament reports" and bring with you to registration if possible. This medical release must be signed before the player's first match.

COURT SURFACES
The Boys 12,14,16,18 and Girls 12,14,16,18 will be played on hard courts. The Girls 8's, Boys 8's and Girls 10s will be on clay.

SEEDING REGULATIONS
Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists: Southern Level 3: Southern Current Standings List published on April 15thk 2009. In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

SELECTION PROCESS
Top 64 players from the USTA/SOUTHERN latest standing list. 56 players from the age group and up to 8 from the younger age group and have a top 80 standing and are not in the selected 56. In the boy and girls 10's all selection will come from the 10's standing list and will have a limit of 32. The 8's will have a limit of 16.

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

ENTERING 2 TOURNAMENTS
Entering two tournaments at the same time is a violation of the USTA rules in the USTA Southern Section, and players may be assessed five (5) junior suspension points for violation of this rule. In "Friend at Court," USTA Tournament Regulation 1 N. 11 & 12 states: 11. *A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments are scheduled to overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing." 12. " A player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the players' entry is accepted in another tournament. A player shall not enter a tournament with the intention of withdrawing if the player's entry is accepted in another tournament, unless the Tournament Committee for the tournament in which the player has entered understands the situation and concurs with the contemplated action."

ALTERNATES
Alternates by event report will be updated. Contact us immediately if you realize you are unable to attend so alternates can move up. Check website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if you are accepted in the draw. Make sure you have included contact information when you register for the tournament. If you are not sure, please email the tournament with the correct contact information.

WITHDRAWALS
Contact us immediately if you realize you are unable to attend so we can notify the alternates. Check website to see if your alternate status has changed. It is the player's responbility to withdraw from this tournament before entering another touranment. (Please review the USTA Regulations listed abouve under: Entering Two Events). This includes players on the alternate list. Friday, April 17th - last day to withdraw to receive a refund.

SCORING FORMAT
All draws will have full feed in through Quarters and 3/4 playoff. Main draw best 2 out of 3 sets. Consolation will be playing a 10 point in lieu of 3rd set. In event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change.

DRAW LIMITS
Boys and Girls 12s through 18s will have a draw of 64, Boys and Girls 10s draws are limited to 32, Boys and Girls 8s draws are limited to 16.

TENNIS BALLS
Wilson balls will be used . New ball will be furnished for the 3rd set in the main draw.
