CCTA Senior Spring Classic

We hoped everyone had a good time and lots of tennis! Thank you for playing. The weather was great. Our next event will be the Carolina Adult Championships April 24-26th. The entry fees are $35 for singles and $20 per player for doubles, even though it says different on the actual website. IT will total up correctly when you check out.

Please Note: Most of the divisions are round robin draws. Make sure you look at each round of the round robin. Your first match is not always the 1st round of the Round Robin Draw. This age division event offers Men's & Women's Open Division Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles as well as Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles in the 35s, 45s, 55s, 65s, and 75s age divisions. Junior tennis players are able and ENCOURAGED to participate in the Open Divisions.

All entries must be completed using the USTA/TennisLink Online Registration system. Any players having difficulty using the system may call 704-484-3332 for assistance in entering the tournament. The entry deadline is Midnight on Monday, February 9th.

Draws will be completed on Wednesday,March 4th and posted by 9pm that night. Seeding will be based on the following information in order of importance: Head-to-head results in last six months, USTA National Ranking, Southern Sectional Ranking, North Carolina District Ranking.

Play may begin as early as 3pm on Friday, but every effort will be made to keep play to Saturday and Sunday only. Play will begin on Friday only in the case of draw sizes in excess of 16 entries and/or predicted inclement weather on either Saturday or Sunday per the National Weather Service. Players should expect to play as many as two matches per day per event. All Open Divsions will be played on hard courts. Every effort will be made to keep the other divisions on clay courts, although the size of the draws may dictate that some divisions may be moved to hard courts. Court surfaces will be noted on the draw sheets. Players will receive a player gift and other amenities. Players will receive information on the tournament and all amenities at check-in. Players must check in with the player registration desk at Cleveland Country Club one hour prior to their first match, especially if their first match is at another site. We will be utilizing the Point Penalty System for behavior and lateness. Players should continue to check the draw information online as this is the ONLY tool used to communicate with players on inclement weather, changes to match times and match locations.

From Charlotte, Take Exit #10B (US 74) to Shelby. Go approximately 8 miles and turn right onto US 74 Business at the third light. There is a Hampton Inn on your right at that light. Go to the fourth light and turn left onto Country Club Road. The courts will be immediately on your left.
