Doubles
Doubles draws have been made and scheduled. We are no longer accepting teams, teams submitted from this point on will be placed on the alternate list for their event.

First Match Times/ Publishing Draw/ Doubles Draws
First Match Times will be published by or before Noon on Wednsday Sept. 2nd.
Draws will be published by Noon on Thursday Sept. 3rd.
Doubles draws were completed at 5PM on Sunday August 30.

Friday Early Check in and Tournament Dinner
We will have the friday check in at Wood Park Recreation Center (1890 Highland Ave.). The directions: coming from i-20 exit i-20 at exit 196a and follow i-520 to exit 2 (wrightsboro rd) turn left onto wrightsboro road and follow 3 miles. You will pass the Newman Tennis Center on your left, and continue on Wrightsboro Rd. for about a mile. Turn Right on Highland Ave., there are two Circle K stations and a Popeye's Restaurant on the corner. Wood Park will be .4 miles on your Left. There is plenty of parking. If you pass the fire station you just passed the building. Do not look for a large park it is in fact a summer spray park for children. Check in and dinner will be from 5 to 8 pm.
If you do not check in on Friday evening you must come to Newman Tennis Center on Saturday 1 hour prior to your first match and check in for the tournament. You must turn in a Medical Release prior to playing your first match.
We will have our tournament dinner starting at 5 pm and ending at 8 pm. All players, parents and family, and coaches are welcome.

Withdrawing from Tournament after Draws are Made
There will be no refunds for withdraws after the draws are made. The draws were made on Saturday.
If you withdraw from the tournament before the entry deadline you will receive a full refund. Players will have until Noon on Saturday August 29th to withdraw and receive a refund.

Dress Code
the tournament committee has set a dress code in this tournament the rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. these rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
proper tennis attire should be worn. for females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. for males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. shirts must be worn at all times. please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. this delay may result in penalties (pps) being assessed .

Size of Draw and Selection Process
Because this is a Level 3 STA Event the following Selection Process is being used: Top 32 players applying from the usta/southern latest standings list. 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be selected. the names of the player who have been selected will appear as competitors. alternates are listed in the report section. do not refer to the alternates on the far left side of the web page (that list is not updated).
players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. they would be removed from the other age division. #2. players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. they would be removed from the alternate list in the other division. #3. players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Weather Related Issues
In the event of inclement weather: The appropriate governing body will be contacted and the scoring system may be altered. The tournament can not be extended because it is sanctioned through a specific date. We will update the tournament page with tournament updates. If you see not updates report to the scheduled site 30 minutes prior to your scheduled match time.

Match Format
Boys and Girls 12-18 Singles Main Draw will play the best 2 out of 3 tie breaker sets. Boys and Girls 10's and all consolations will play the best of two sets with a third set match tie break in lieu of the third set. In the event of inclement weather the play format may be altered after consulting with GTA/STA.
Doubles play for all age groups will the an eight game proset with a match tie break at 8 all.

Attention All players
If a player was not selected for the Papa Johns GeorgiaLina and decides to enter another tournament they must send me an e-mail to with draw from this tournament.
If you entered the Bullfrog and are on the alternate list, you are required to withdraw from that tournament before entering another tournament. There are several players that have not withdrawn but have entered the Papa Johns. I am sorry but: As per the USTA you will be subject to the point penalty system.

Singles Selections and Doubles Partner information
The selections For Singles have been completed. Doubles Selections have also been completed but there are some issues.
1. I may have missed some players that are not playing in their singles age group.
2. Some of you signed up with partners that are not in the tournament.
All of these issues may easly be resoloved by going to the link in the Doubles information and clicking on the link to confirm a partner of find a partner.

Doubles
The selection of players for doubles events is as follows:
1. Players not automatically selected for singles will not be automatically selected for doubles.
2. Player selection for doubles will be in this order:
- Players selected for singles in the age group.
- Players selected for singles in any age group.
- Players not automatically for singles.
- Players applying for doubles only.
Doubles will start on the first day of the tournament after singles play. Once Selections are published you will have until NOON Saturday August 29th to confirm your doubles partnership. You must have a doubles partner at the doubles deadline. Please follow the direction listed below to confirm your doubles partnership or obtain contact information for other players who do not have a partner.

Doubles Confirmation Deadline Extended to Sunday at 5PM
All doubles teams must send a confirmation to the TD by following these directions even if you signed up online through tennislink, by 5PM on Sunday August 30th. THE TOURNAMENT WILL NOT PAIR UNCONFIRMED PLAYERS TO MAKE TEAMS. Also we will not be able to guarantee that you will not play your doubles partners as we have completed making the draws and are starting the scheduling.

IS NOT A GEORGIA SUPER CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT HOWEVER, IT WILL BE
AWARDED GEORGIA LEVEL 3 POINTS BECAUSE IT IS A SOUTHERN LEVEL 3
TOURNAMENT. Call for match times or check internet after Noon, Sept

5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Wood Park Recreation Center, 1890 Highland Ave.
(players, parents & coaches welcome). Players are encouraged to

Draw: Regular scoring (2 out of 3 sets) Boys and Girls 10's and
Consolation (FIC): Best of 2 sets with a 3rd set Match tiebreaker
in lieu of the 3rd set. In the event of inclement weather,
alternate scoring will be used. Doubles:Follow Directions in
Doubles Anouncements, Play will be 8 game Pro Sets and will be a
single elimination Draw. CHAMPIONSHIP - Open to all players
regardless of ranking. We encourage you to use the USTA's On-line
registration but we do offer express entry. Express entry is a
faxed, e-mail, or paper entry that uses a Credit Card. There is an
additional $3 charge for using express entry.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
