Monday 10:30 AM. Courts are not available at Petersburg (PRC) after 4:00 PM today. All players whose matches are originally scheduled at PRC AFTER 12:00 noon (12:30 PM and later) will come to Newman for reassignment.

Defaults are being reported continueously. Please check the draws for changes. We are attempting to notify players of their new match times as opponents default.

Mon. Jan. 19th: We are on a 2 hour delay. You still need to report to your site 30 minutes before your first match time.

All matches have been rescheduled and the Boys 16's have been moved to NTC. We are playing two rounds in the Main Draw and Two rounds in the Consolation. After a consultation with GTA and STA it has been determined that we will not be finishing the tournament. We will stop play after the Semifinals in the Main Draw and the Quarterfinal Qualifer in the Consolation.

Jan 18th 12 noon. All matches are canceled for Sunday, Jan 18th. There will be an update at 3 PM giving tomorrow's plan.

Jan. 18th 10:30AM We have added another hour to the delay and the total delay is now 4 hours from your origianl match time. If matches resume today we will play only one Main Draw and One Consolation round.

Next update at 9AM. Jan. 18th: 8AM As of this time there are no delays. Players should show up as scheduled. Next update at 8:30AM. Jan.16th:We have received numerous questions about playing times and possible delays due to the cold temperatures. The Tournament Committee discussed the variables and consequences of delays and decided that playing in the sun shine was more advantages to the players than playing after the sun goes down. ALL MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED AS SCHEDULED. Parents, Coaches: We strongly suggest that you dress in layers.

First Match times are now published. Draws will be published by 5pm on Thursday.

Tentative Seeding has been completed. We used the criteria specified by STA. Seeding was initially based on the STA age group standings as of 1/7/2009. Players that are playing up that were unseeded and are ranked in the top 10 in the STA and top 50 Nationally in the lower age group were considered for seeding. Additional consideration for these players from the lower division was given to head to head wins against this tournament's seeded players.

Selections have been made. Draws will be made at noon on Sat.Jan. 10th. First match times will be published by Noon on Wed. Jan. 14th. and Draws will be published on thur. Jan. 15th by 5 pm.

If you are on the Alternats List for the Mayors Cup and decide to enter another tournament. You must withdraw from the MC Alternate list before you enter the other tournament.

You have until Noon on Saturday Jan. 10 to withdraw and receive a refund. Withdrawing after that day and time will result in no refund.

we will have the friday check in at forest hills golf course grille (1500 comfort circle, augusta, ga 30909). directions: coming from i-20 exit i-20 at exit 196a and follow i-520 to exit 2 (wrightsboro rd) turn left onto wrightsboro road and follow 2 miles. you will pass the entrance to newman tennis center on your left, turn left at the next corner (magnolia st) and then left on comfort circle and then turn into the parking lot. this is also a great place to park during the tournament. check in and dinner will be from 5 to 8 pm. We will have our tournament dinner starting at 5 pm and ending at 8 pm. All players, parents and family, and coaches are welcome.

In order to contact alternates the tournament needs players to make sure that your tournament information is current and has contact phone numbers. We will accept onsite alternates and they must check in with the Referee.

If you do not check in friday evening, you must come to NEWMAN TENNIS CENTER on saturday at least one hour before your first scheduled match to check in. you will not be allowed to play unless you have checked in and turned in a signed medical release. You will receive directions and a map to all the sites and practice sites. pp stands for Patriots Park prc stands for Petersburg Racquet Club, rc stands for The Club at Rae's Creek, rv stands for Riverview Park, and ftc stands for Fleming Tennis center.

Because this is a Level 3 STA Event the following Selection Process is being used: Top 32 players applying from the usta/southern latest standings list. 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be selected. the names of the player who have been selected will appear as competitors. alternates are listed in the report section. do not refer to the alternates on the far left side of the web page (that list is not updated). players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. they would be removed from the other age division. #2. players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. they would be removed from the alternate list in the other division. #3. players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Draws will be 32 players with a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. Main Draw will play the best two out of three tie-break sets. Feed-in Consolation and Boys and Girls 10's will be the best of three sets playing a 10 point match tie-break in lieu of the third set. In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change.

The Tournament committee has set A dress code in this Tournament The Rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. These Rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times. Proper tennis attire should be worn. For females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. For males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. Failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. This delay may result in penalties (PPS) being assessed .

Due to time and weather we will not be offering doubles in this tournament.
