MATCH SITES
We use four (4) sites for the tournament that are all very closely located. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE LOCATION OF YOUR MATCH: Main Site: Sea Pines Racquet Club (RACQT) Sea Pines Country Club (CLUB) South Beach Racquet Club (BEACH) Palmetto Dunes (DUNES). You will be given directions to all sites at registration (included in your Tournament Guide). No allowances for being late for your match. You must register for the tournament at the Main Site before your first match.

Ocean, live music and good food!
Please join us for a complimentary dinner for each player plus one guest on Friday night beginning at 6:30 PM. We have a beautiful new setting this year - Ocean Front at the Sea Pines Beach Club. Come enjoy the Island's only outdoor oceanfront restaurant. We will be sharing important information about the tournament and giving out some fabulous door prizes, including tickets to the 2010 US Open! The Sea Pines Beach Club address is 87 North Sea Pines Drive across the street from the Plantation Golf Club home to the Ocean and Heron Point Golf Courses. (Guests are welcome to join us for $15.00).

The Sea Pines Resort has a long tradition of hosting tournaments, from decades of ATP and WTA events to top flight junior tournaments. Our commitment to junior tennis tournaments continues with the 6th Annual Sea Pines - Rosie Gwynn Junior Championships.
Two special complimentary clinics hosted by world renowned coaches Stan Smith and Billy Stearns, of the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy, will also be offered Friday afternoon. The 2 clinic sessions are 3:15-4:45 and 5:00-6:30. Reservations are recommended. Please call 843-363-4495 for details or to register.

ALTERNATES
ALTERNATES: The alternates by Event Report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot come. It is the alternate's responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status changes and as a result you are selected to play in the tournament. You should make sure your contact information is correct on your membership profile. The tournament will not be responsible for a player not selected in the event the tournament cannot contact him/her due to incorrect or outdated contact information. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately. (Payments are not made on line for alternates).

ON SITE ALTERNATES
ON SITE ALTERNATES: "On Site" Alternates must register at the main site tournament desk. You can inform the Tournament Referee on Friday night or before that you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact information for you to be reached during the weekend. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when their age and gender check in for play in the first round.

BOYS 18S DRAW
Due to withdrawal of a seed in the Boys 18s some of the opponents may have changed. Match times and sites remained the same.

ENTERING 2 TOURNAMENTS
ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS: Players are cautioned not to enter two tournaments at the same time. Suggestions to avoid being penalized: If you are listed on the Alternate List, you must with-draw from the Alternate List first and then enter the 2nd Tournament. Tournaments have been assigned different deadlines that will allow you time to make your changes. You can receive suspension points for entering two tournaments at the same time.

WITHDRAWALS
WITHDRAWALS: If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online (follow the directions listed at the bottom of this message). All withdrawals after entries close must also be sent in writing by E-Mail to the Tournament Director (MSRabb@aol.com). You must include the reason for the withdrawal, players name, players age division and USTA #. We also would like for you to include phone contact information just in case we need to call you. Please notify us immediately upon your decision to withdraw so another player will have an opportunity to be selected to play. Players withdrawing not more than 6 days before the tournament start date will NOT be refunded the entry fee as regulated by Friend At Court - National USTA Regulations. (No Refunds after Friday, October 16th.) Thank you!
To withdraw on line before registration is closed, follow these instructions:
- 1. From the tournament home page choose the edit registration link from the left side of the screen (link listed in the dark blue background on the left navigation menu). registration, then choose the withdraw link.
- 2. Enter the USTA # of the person you wish to withdraw. Note that only eligible events will display. If registration is already closed for an event you will need to contact the tournament organizer to withdraw and receive any applicable refund.
- 3. Enter the USTA # of the person you wish to withdraw. Note that only eligible events will display. If registration is already closed for an event you will need to contact the tournament organizer to withdraw and receive any applicable refund.
- 4. Enter the confirmation number of the event(s) you wish to withdraw from. Enter the number as such: 123456-01. Choose withdraw. (If you do not have your confirmation number, follow the steps listed below).
- 5. You will receive a message indicating that the withdrawal was successful. Note that the processing fee is non-refundable as indicated at the time of the original registration.
Please look for the refund back to your credit card within 3-5 business days. If you withdraw with the tournament director they will not be able to credit your card. They will inform you of how they will process your refund.
If you do not have your confirmation number follows Steps 1 & 2. Then do the following:
- a. Choose the locate confirmation number on the left navigation
- b. Enter the USTA and the Credit Card number used at registration.
- c. Choose Continue
A list of events and the corresponding charge and confirmation numbers will be displayed

ACCOMODATIONS
A block of rooms have been reserved for this tournament at our 4-star Inn at Harbour Town & Harbour Town Villas. Spoil yourself with luxury at our new Inn at Harbour Town. Or, as a spacious alternative to the Inn, step into one of our VIP Harbourt Town villas complete with fully equipped kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms. LODGING CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE BY OCTOBER 19TH, PLAYERS WILL KNOW IF THEY HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED INTO THE TOURNAMENT BEFORE THIS DEADLINE.

Friday's check in at Sea Pines Racquet Club is 2pm until 6:00 PM and will resume Saturday morning at 7:15am

SELECTION PROCESS
SELECTION PROCESS: Top (32) players applying from the USTA/Southern latest STANDINGS LIST. (28) players from this age group will be selected and up to (4) players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80(40) of the younger age group, and are not in the selected (28), will be selected. The names of the player who have been selected will appear as COMPETITORS. Alternates are listed in the REPORT SECTION. DO NOT REFER TO THE ALTERNATES ON THE FAR LEFT SIDE OF THE WEB PAGE (That list is not updated).

MEDICAL RELEASE
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of tournament registration. A link is at the end of this section for your convenience. You may fax it in advance to (843) 363-4483.

SEEDING- NEW 2009!
USTA Southern Level 1, 2 and 3 Tournaments. SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists: Southern Designated Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start. In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
REGISTERING FOR TWO DIVISONS: Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: (1) Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They will be removed from the other age division. (2) Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternate’s lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. They will be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. (3) Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternates list of the other division. (4) Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

The Sea Pines Resort has many wonderful and different restaurants - from casual to fine dining.
Casual: the Quarterdeck,the Harbour Town Bakery and Cafe, the Harbour Town Grill (lunch)
Fine Dining: the Harbour Town Grill (dinner).

VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS
Passenger Cars or Vans are permitted in the Sea Pines Resort.
RV'S, CAMPERS AND MOTORCYCLES ARE NOT PRMITTED IN THE SEA PINES RESORT

Congratulations to 2006 Sea Pines Junior Championships winner Melanie Oudin for her 2009 US Open performance!” Melanie was our 2006 Girls 18s Champion of our Tournament at age 15.

Trainer
There will be a trainer on site at the Sea Pines Racquet Club during matches. By law, trainers are not allowed to distribute any medicine. Please bring your own Tylenol, Advil, Sinus Medicine, etc.
Temperatures can be quite warm on Hilton Head in October, please prepare by drinking enough fluids.
If you have an injury or illness, we strongly suggest that you see the trainer. If you need to withdraw due to injury or illness, the process will be much smoother if we have confirmation from the trainer. Without confirmation, or a written doctors excuse by Monday at 5:00 pm Eastern time, you may incur suspension points for leaving. Remember if you withdraw during the tournament, you must see the Head Referee in person or it will count as a "No Show".

Behavior- Conduct
In addition to enforcement of USTA conduct rules, the following are the Sea Pines Junior Championship's conduct rules.
The behavior of players, parents, officials and volunteers - regardless of the circumstances - will exemplify behavior befitting ladies and gentlemen.
No use of expressions of frustrations with references to any deity in any form will be permitted (e.g. "Oh my God", "Jesus Christ", etc.) either spoken or spelled. This can be offensive to other people.
No use of the word "suck" in any form.
No use of "freaking", "frigging", "fricking" or any other variations or derivatives of the "F" word.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
