Doubles Finals will be at 8am at RFTC on Wednesday, unless there is a conflict with the singles. Doubles Match time will be determined after the singles are completed on Tuesday and will be posted by 6 pm Tuesday.

Tentative Schedule
The following is the tentative tournament schedule, subject to change should weather interfere with play. The tournament is sanctioned through Thursday. All players should be prepared to play on Thursday should weather mandate.
Sunday: Singles 2 rounds main draw, 1 round consolation, 1 round of Doubles
Monday: Singles 1 round Main draw, 2 rounds Consolation, 2 rounds of Doubles(AM and PM)
Tuesday: Singles 2 Rounds of Main draw, 3 rounds of Consolation, 1 round of Doubles(AM)
Wednesday: Singles Finals and 3/4 Playoff, Semifinal and Final of Consolation, Finals of Doubles(AM)
Thursday: Rain date if necessary

Error in B12 Doubles
Due to an administrative error, two players were omitted from the B12 doubles event who affected the seeding. The seeding has been corrected.

SITE ABBREVIATIONS
The tournament will be played at 8 different sites: Alto ALTO, Calhoun Tennis Center - CTC, Darlington - DAR, Etowah - ETW, Georgia Highland College - GAH, Pepperell High School - PHS, Rome Floyd Tennis Center - RFTC, Shorter College - SHR.
Please be sure to read the draws CAREFULLY for your match locations. It is possible that you will be playing at different sites for all your matches.

B18 Match Site for Sunday and Monday
B18 will be playing at the Calhoun Tennis Center in Calhoun, GA on Sunday and Monday for singles and doubles. This is about 30 miles north of Rome. Be sure to allow at least 30-40 minutes traveling time from Rome to arrive on time for your matches. Consideration should be given to arranging lodging in Calhoun.

Boys 18 Check In ForTournament
Saturday check in for B18 will be at Rome Floyd Tennis Center. Check in for B18 driving in on Sunday will be at Calhoun Tennis Center. All other age divisions must check in for the tournament at Rome Floyd Tennis Center on Saturday or Sunday. Be sure to bring signed and completed Medical Release forms.

CHECK-IN for all Age Divisions EXCEPT B18
Everyone will need to check in at the Rome-Floyd Tennis Center before they play their first match, regardless of your match location. Early check in will be available on Saturday 12/26 from 5pm to 7pm. The Check in desk will open again12/27 Sunday morning at 7am. Please be sure to give yourself enough time to check in and still drive to your match location. Checking in cannot be used as an excuse for being late for your match.

WITHDRAWALS
Prior to the entry deadline, players should withdraw online. After the entry deadline, all withdrawals must be in writing by e-mail or fax. Players should note all rules on withdrawing from a tournament. NO REFUNDS for players withdrawing after midnight, Monday, December 21. Alternates wishing to enter another tournament should withdraw from the Alternates list before entering another tournament. Alternates are not charged the entry fee until they are moved into the main draw.

Avoidances for Tournament
Please be aware that we will do our best to avoid players playing each other by state, city, or doubles partners. We will not promise to avoid players from the same academy.

DOUBLES DEADLINE EXTENDED
Doubles deadline extended until midnight, Sunday, Dec 20. If you are not paired with anyone by this time, we will remove your name from doubles. If you are willing to be paired randomly, please let us know this today.

DOUBLES
Now that the entry deadline has passed, all partner designations should be made directly to the Referee at chelton48@yahoo.com. Doubles play will begin the first day of the tournament, therefore partners must be designated by midnight, Saturday, December 19th.

Alternates
If you are not selected for the main draw, your name will automatically be placed on the Alternates List. This list will be ordered by the current Southern Standings List. If you do not want to be considered for entry into the main draw, you should email the referee to withdraw your name. You MUST WITHDRAW from the alternate list before entering another tournament. If a position becomes available in the main draw, the alternate must contact the Tournament Director with Credit Card info. Tennis Link does not charge Credit Cards of alternates. Alternates are responsible for being sure the referee and tournament director have contact information. You will be skipped if we have no way to contact you.

Alternates Playing Doubles
If you were not selected for main draw singles, you were removed from doubles. If you are an alternate and still want to play doubles, please contact the Referee at chelton48@yahoo.com. The cost will be the same as one event.

SEEDING
Seeding will bedetermined using the Southern Seeding Calculator which is also used for the USTA Southern Bullfrog tournaments. It uses the most recent Southern standing and gives consideration to the lower age division players.

Registration Info
Players are not allowed to sign up for both 10 and under Singles and 10s Quick Start Tournament during this tournament. Also, players with a 2008 championship ranking are not allowed to play in the Quick Start tournament.

If you have a FACEBOOK account you can join the group GA STATE JR WINTER OPEN TENNIS TOURNAMENT--ROME, GA and post messages for others that are playing in the tournament. If you need a doubles partner, post your info on the group home page and see who else needs a partner for the tournament.

Selection Process
Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest STANDINGS LIST. 56 players from this age group will be selected and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected. The names of the players who have been selected will appear as COMPETITORS. Alternates are listed in the REPORT SECTION. The Report Section Alternate by Event will be updated as players are added to the main draw or withdraws from the alternates list.

Electronic Devices Prohibited on court
Players may not use electronic devices on court that are designed for communication(cell phones, pda's, etc.) or data storage/display (pocket notebook, rolodex, word processor, etc.). Use of these devices will result in immediate code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct. (Adevice that in the "ON" mode constitutes use.) Notes and printed material brought on court for reference with a player are permitted.

Go west (left if you are coming from Atlanta) on GA Hwy 20.
# Eventually, GA Hwy 20 will merge into US Hwy 411 Follow 411 into Rome.

Alternate Directions to Rome from Atlanta and all points south of I-20
# From downtown Atlanta take I-20 west to Thornton Road (north, i.e. turn right)
# From Atlanta Airport take Camp Creek Parkway. (west, the only way it goes)
# From I-285 southwest of Atlanta take Camp Creek Parkway (west, left if going north on I-285). (After you cross I-20 (Camp Creek is called Thornton Road)
# Stay on Thornton Road approximately 35 miles to Rockmart. This road will change names several times (various peoples’ names, but is mostly US Hwy 278.
# As you approach Rockmart, there will be a Sonic Drive-In on the right.

Turn Riight out of tennis center onto W. Third St. Go to Red Light. Turn LEFT onto 2nd AVE. Go 0.9m turn RIGHT onto E 6th St. Go 0.1m turn LEFT onto Maple Ave.(Maple Ave. becomes Maple Rd and then becomes Park Ave.) Go about 4.0m turn RIGHT onto Dragon Drive. School will be in front of you, follow round-a-bout and tennis courts will be on the left of the school.

Directions to Shorter College
Turn RIGHT out of Rome Tennis Center onto W. Third St. Go 0.1m to Red light. Take RIGHT onto 2nd AVE. Turn LEFT onto Turner McCall Blvd(Turner McCall will turn into Shorter AVE.) You will pass Chick-fila on your right at next red light: turn LEFT and turn LEFT again into Shorter Campus. Go thru security check and then merge LEFT at fork. Tennis courts will be on the left below the road and directly behind the Winthrop-King Centre.

From Rome Tennis Center take a LEFT onto w. third st go to Red Light. Take a RIGHT onto N. 5th AVE go to Broad St. Take LEFT onto Broad St. which will change to N. Broad St. after passing checker, take a left and continue on N. Broad ST....N. Broad St. will change to Highway 53....you will come to a fork on Hwy 53 when entering Calhoun...stay to the RIGHT and follow hwy 53....at the next red light take a LEFT onto South River St and at the next red light turn LEFT into park and you will see the Tennis Center. If you go over a hill and see Wal-mart on your right, you went to far.
