AMENITIES
Atlanta Bread Co. will have food and refreshments for all players, parents, and coaches during Friday's check-in. Lunch for all players will be provided on Saturday from 11-1 at VDM tennis center. Subway will provide a meal coupon which may be used for lunch or dinner Saturday-Monday. Atlanta Bread Co will provide bagels, muffins, pastries, and coffee each morning. Fruit will be available throughout the tournament.

VIDEO YOUR MATCH!
Don't miss the opportunity to video your match !! Natalia Boulanova of the PROMAX GROUP will be available during the tournament to video tape matches at the main site, Van Der Meer Tennis Center. She can be contacted at 941-518-4791. Contact her early to reserve your time slot. She is located on the side porch near Courts 7 & 8 at the main site.

PRATICE COURTS
Practice courts will be available on Friday at Van Der Meer Tennis Center(13 hard) at 6:00 PM and Shipyard(4 hard) at 5:30PM. Courts will be 1st come/1st serve (4 players per court).
Match Play Sites-VDM Tennis Center(VDM)-main site, VDM Shipyard(SHIP)-check in, Chaplain Park (CHAP), Hilton Head Beach and Tennis (HBT), and Hilton Head High School (HIGH).
Practice Sites-Cordillo Courts(3 hard), Hilton Head Middle School (4 hard), and VDM Tennis Center(3 hard). Alll practice courts will be 1st come, 1st serve (4 per court). Directions to all sites will be provided at check-in and attatched above.******Hilton Head Middle Scholl will NOT be available for practice on Saturday, May 2 from 9:00-11:00 and Sunday, May3 from 4:00-6:00******H.H Middle School - 55 Wilborn Road (Zip Code 29926)

TRAINER - MAIN SITE
A trainer will be on site at Van der Meer Tennis Center. Remember that if you default due to an injury during the tournament, you have to speak directly to the Head Referee. Speaking to anyone else will result in a "Default-No Show" for your match.

ALTERNATES
Alternates by Event Report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot come. It is the alternates' responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change to being in the tournament. You should make sure your contact information is correct on your membership profile. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately. If you plan to enter another tournament, you must withdraw as an Alternate prior to entering the other tournament.
An ORDERED ALTERNATES REPORT is posted above. This is the order Alternates will be contacted for any open spots. 1) Contact Information-please email me the best contact information for you, such as a work phone or a cell phone. Below is the timeline detailing how much time you have to respond. 2) Payment-if you accept a spot, you must overnight your entry fee. Since you were not selected in the initial batch, your credit cards were never processed. An Alternate will not be listed as a competitor until the entry fee has been received. The entry fee is $48.88 made payable to Van der Meer Tennis, P.O. Box 5902, Hilton Head Island, SC 29938. We assume that you still want in the tournament as long as you are on the Alternates by Events List. Please contact us immediately if you want your name removed from the alternate list. It is the Alternate's responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. No Alternates will be contacted after 12:00 noon, Friday May 2 and no changes will be made.

MANDATORY CHECK IN
Friday May 1, 2009, 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Van der Meer Tennis Center. (NOT VDM SHIPYARD)! Atlanta Bread Company will have food and refreshments for all players,parents and coaches beginning at 5:30. Directions to VDM Tennis Center from I-95, take exit 8 (Hilton Head Is) onto Hwy 278. Stay on Hwy 278 onto the island. At the north end of the island, Hwy 278 will fork... take left-hand fork onto the Cross Island Pkwy(Toll Road). Pay the toll and proceed until you reach the Sea Pines traffic circle. Take the second exit off of the circle onto Pope Avenue. At the second traffic light take a right onto Cordillo PKWY. Drive about 200 yards and take a right onto Deallyon Avenue. Drive past the Player's Club Resort entrance and turn right immediately after the Player's Club building.(You will see courts on both the left and right side of Deallyon)
All players must check-in at this time. Multiple sites will be used, so there will not be time to check-in prior to matches on Saturday, May 2nd. Except for a true emergency, there is no excuse for not being at check-in by 8:00 pm. For those of you who " just can't make it in time", you need to do the following:
1) Make sure your entry fee has been paid by Friday night- check the Tournament Entry Fee Report.
2) Fax your Medical Release Waiver with your cell phone number and hotel info to 843-785-7032 attn Justyn Schelver
3) Make sure you show up at the site where you are scheduled to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled match time! Point Penalty System will be enforced. >

ON SITE ALTERNATES
All "On Site" alternates must register at the tournament desk at the Main Site, Van Der Meer Tennis Center. Please send an e-mail to JustynSchelver@hotmail.com if you plan to be an on site alternate. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List.

FORMAT OF PLAY
All maindraw matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets.
All consolation matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a Match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set.
There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place in the main draw.
You should expect 3 rounds of Consolation starting Sunday, May 4.
Short scoring may be used in the Main Draw if weather dictate. If so, expect 3 rounds per day in the Main Draw.

TRAINING SESSION AVAIL
ACADEMY TRAINING SESSION AVAILABLE: Van Der Meer Tennis Academy is offering a discounted rate to all Bullfrog participants for sessions taking place from Tuesday, April 28 - May 1. Morning practice session will take place from 10:00 to noon with afternoon session taking place from 3:30-6:00. Cost will be $45 per session. BIRTH CERTIFICATES / PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP:
All Players must have a Birth Certificate on file in the Southern Office for proof of US Citizenship. Greencards will be accepted, but passports will not. MEDICAL RELEASE
Medical Release Forms have to be completed and signed by the PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN. Please do not send your child without this form completed. The form is available at the top of this page.

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

WITHDRAWALS
All Withdrawals after entries close must be sent in writing by E-mail to JustynSchelver@hotmail.com. Please be aware that if a player withdraws for any reason other than illness, injury, or a family emergency, suspension points can be given to that player. We will be checking if players that withdraw from the Bullfrog tournament are playing in other tournaments that same weekend. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after 11:59 EST on Saturday, April 25, 2009. Players withdrawing within 7 days of the tournament start date will not be refunded the entry fee.

SEEDING - NEW FOR 2009!
USTA Southern Level 1, 2 and 3 Tournaments. SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists: Southern Designated Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start. In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

SELECTIONS
Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest Standing List..56 players from this age group will be selected and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible for the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected.

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries may be accepted or a new player may be substituted into the draw if the Tournament Committee determines that the ability of a new player does not invalidate the seeding. DRESS CODE
For the Boys: Any T-shirts worn must be plain or tennis related. No underwear should be visible above waist band or below hemline. Shirts must be worn at all times. Shorts must be worn appropriately above pelvic bones. Sleeveless shirts are acceptable if made that way - no cutoffs. For the Girls: Any T-shirts must be plain or tennis related. Skirts and shorts must be worn appropriately above the pelvic bones. The bottom of your shirt must touch the top of your skirt or shorts while standing upright- shoulders back. This means do not roll down your skirts or shorts. Thank you for your cooperation.

THE CODE
In matches without an official on court, players are expected to follow THE CODE. If you've never read it, please do so. USTA Point Penalty System will be used.

BALLS
The official tournament ball is Dunlop.

Players are selected from a designated Section or District ranking list.
