Notes
DIRECTIONS TO CLUB
The Gateway Blvd exit from northbound 880 is closed while they are
rebuilding the interchange. When coming to the club going north on
highway 880, you must now take the Fremont Blvd / Cushing Parkway
exit (near the Nummi Auto Plant). At the end of the exit ramp, turn
left at the stoplight, go over the freeway, turn right on the
cloverleaf to reenter 880 going south. Go to the first exit, Warren
Ave, and turn right. The club is about 100 yards down on the right
side of Warren (just past the Hyatt Place Hotel).
If you are coming south on 680, turn off the freeway to the right
at the 2nd (southernmost) Mission Blvd exit at the south end of
Fremont (not the one just after the top of the Sunol Grade). Go
through a couple stoplights and then head toward San Jose on
southbound 880. Before coming all the way down the overpass, turn
right onto Gateway Blvd. You will quickly come to a stoplight. Turn
right onto Lakeview. Go one long block to the stopsign. Turn left
onto Warren Ave and go about 100 yards to the club (on the
right).
ENTRY INFORMATION:
Until we actually make all the draws, we cannot tell how the
schedule of matches will shake out. In other words, we cannot tell
if a flight will only be played on one weekend. So when entering,
you should plan on being available to play both weekends.
If you just have a few hours on one day during which you cannot
play, we can often work around your time constraint. In that case,
send an email to lparker@clubsports.com, listing the starting and
ending times that you are not able to be at the club, and the
reason for the time constraint. If it does not work out and we
cannot put you into the draw, we will either not charge your credit
card or refund your entry fee a few weeks after the tournament is
finished.
Players may enter at most 1 event. Draws must have a minimum of 3
entries. Doubles entries must be submitted with a partner. However,
just listing your partner's name does not constitute entering
unless you also pay your partner's entry fee.
Draws may be limited (to 24 or 32, depending on the total number of
entrants). According to USTA NorCal regulations, entry is NOT on a
FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED basis. If needed, teams/players will
randomly be pulled out of the largest draws and placed on the
alternate list. If they do not get to play, their entry fee will
either not be charged to their credit card or refunded by check a
few weeks after the tournament is completed.
If a player must withdraw from the tournament before the entry
deadline, it can be done online at the entry website. If a player
must withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline, contact
the Tournament Director at 510-226-8500 ext.516 AND at
lparker@clubsports.com.
If a player is unable to play a scheduled match, please notify the
Tournament Director immediately, so that we can notify the
opponent.
