EVENTS
- Boys and Girls singles, 160 draw with feed-in championship through the quarterfinals and play off matches for 3rd and 4th places.
- Play in the feed-in is mandatory as well is the 3rd and 4th playoff match.

SEEDS
- 32 seeds will be “block seeded” into the 3rd round of the singles tournament.
- Seeded players will begin singles play on Monday, June 22nd.
- Seeding will be posted online by Tuesday, June 16th.
- Seeded singles players NOTE: Doubles player will begin Sunday, June 21st.

MATCH SCORING FORMATS
SCORING:
- Singles main draw will be best of three tiebreak sets.
- Singles consolation will be best of three sets with a 3rd set match tiebreak in lieu of the third set on days when 2 matches are played.
- Doubles will play 8 game pro-set with a match tiebreak played at 8 games all.
- The match tiebreak for both Singles and Doubles is the 10 point format.

REST PERIODS
The following heat policy will be implemented:
- · When players are scheduled to play 2 Singles matches in one day they will be offered a rest period equal to the length of their first match (up to 3 hours). They will be allowed a minimum of 2 hours rest regardless of their first match length.
NOTE: The rest period guide does not apply for Doubles.

DOUBLES
- Doubles registration will be done via E-Mail or in person at check-in.
- Doubles deadline is Saturday, June 20th, 4:00pm (Central Time).
- Doubles play will begin Sunday, June 21st.
- Do not sign up for doubles if you do not intend to play the entire tournament .
- Doubles draws will be posted Sunday, 9:00am.

ENTRIES & SELECTION
- All players must enter through TennisLink.com Online registration. Players should play in the age division they are seeking southern endorsement
- All selections are based on quotas and endorsements of the states. To view the selection process click “more info.”

WITHDRAWLS
- Prior to the deadlines, players should withdraw Online. Players should note all rules on withdrawing from a tournament.
- All withdraws must be in writing. No refund will be made for players withdrawing.
- Alternates wishing to enter another tournament should withdraw from the alternates list before entering another tournament. Alternates are not charged the entry fee until they are taken into the draw.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES ON COURT
- Players must not use electronic devices on court that are designed for communication: Cell phones, PDAs, etc) or for data storage/display (pocket notebook, rolodex, word processor, etc).
- Use of these devices will result in an immediate code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct (A device that is “ON” constitutes use.)
- Notes or printed material brought on court for reference with a player is permitted.

ALTERNATES
- All applicants not admitted to the main draw shall be listed in order of Southern Standings to be moved into the main draw if/when spaces become available.
- On site Alternates must arrive at Burns Park tennis Center Saturday, June 20th, 7:30am.
- You must sign the ordered Alternate list and remain at the facility.
- Once an on-site alternate is called, he/she will have 5 minutes to report. If player does not report he/she will be bypassed until a subsequent vacancy occurs.
- On-site Alternate may also show up prior to beginning of play on Monday, June 22nd when seeds begin play. On-site alternate should follow the same process used on Saturday, June 20th.

- All players must have a copy of a Birth Certificate or Green Card on file in the Southern office.

TIME LINE
- Entry Deadline: June 12 11:59pm
- Selection posted: June 15, 5:00pm Central time.
- Seeds posted online: Tuesday, June 16th, 5:00pm.
- Check-in for all non-seeds: Friday, June 19th, 4:30pm-7:30pm at Burns Park Indoor Building.
- Singles play begins: Saturday, June 20th, 8:00am.
- Doubles deadline: Saturday, June 20th, 4:00pm.
- Doubles draws will be posted Sunday, 9:00am.
- Doubles play will begin Sunday (2 rounds) after singles.
- Check-in for seeded players Sunday, June 21st, 12:00 noon to 2:00pm at the Burns Park Tennis Indoor Building.
- College Forum & Players meeting Sunday, June 21st, 6:00pm
- Pizza – Sunday following players meeting.
- Monday, June 22nd 1 round singles play, 2 round doubles play.
- The Standard one round of main draw singles and two round of consolation singles will begin on Tuesday, June 23rd.

This is a USTA Southern Section Level 1 Tournament. Players must
be endorsed by your State selector. On-line registration only. ALL
PLAYERS Please mail or fax a signed USTA Signed Medical Release
form (by both parent & player) to the Arkansas Tennis
Assocition prior to the event or they wil be unable to participate
in the event.
Players are selected from a designated Section or District ranking list.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Friday, June 12, 2009 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
