If you are reading this update, please plan to come to SS to resume play. The courts are very close to the "ready" state and we need players to fill them!

Match play will not resume prior to 2:30 pm today.

PLAY IS ANTICIPATED TO BEGIN AT 1:30. ALL 8 AND 9 AM SINGLES PLEASE REPORT NO LATER THAN 1:30 P.M.

PLAY WILL NOT RESUME UNTIL 1:00 P.M. TODAY FOR ALL 8:00 AM AND 9:00 AM SINGLES MATCHES.

We are currently experiencing a rain delay at St. Stephen's with play anticipated to resume at noon. Doubles finals times have changed and will follow singles. It is likely they will be held later in the afternoon. No definite time set as yet.

QUALIFYING DRAW COMPETITORS: While the qualifying draw shows a June 27th date, it is to be played on FRIDAY, JUNE 26th at St. Stephen's Tennis Academy.

PARENTS/PLAYERS/COACHES Please re-check your player's draw up to tournament start. The tournament continues to receive numerous withdrawals and the draws will change throughout the week. To be sure you are on time for your first match, you will want to re-check your draws often.

The TOP 32 Alternates will be placed in the Qualifying Draw to compete for 2 wild card places in the Boys 16s Main Draw Event. Entry fee for the Qualifying Tournament is $25. Please bring cash or check with you to tournament registration no later than 11:15 a.m. Friday, June 26th. This Qualifying Draw will take place on FRIDAY, June 26th beginning at noon at St. Stephens Tennis Academy, located at 2900 Bunny Run. Format for qualifying: 8-game pro-sets with 10-point tie-breaks at 8 games all. The last two remaining players from the Qualifying event will be placed in the designated main draw wild card spots.

Capital Area Tennis Association (CATA on Qualifying draw) Qualies to be held at St. Stephen's, 6500 St. Stephen's Dr. Austin, TX 78746 (512) 801-9450 for Tournament Director Draws show CATA as the site for Qualfying tournament on Friday, June 26th but matches will be held at St. Stephen's. (Trust me...there's a reason for this madness :-))

NEW ADDRESS FOR ST. STEPHEN'S: 6500 ST. STEPHEN'S DR., AUSTIN, TX 78746 Heading South on Hwy 360...go over RED suspension bridge over Lake Austin, go straight and take a RIGHT onto Westlake Drive (light). Follow this road straight to the 2nd right, where you will see the SS guard station. Take a right into the guard station area. Follow road straight until you end at SS gymnasium. You MUST part at the gymnasium and walk past the track and field and up to the courts. Be prepared for a short hike so be sure to take everything you need with you...you won't want to make several trips back and forth to your cars. Bring water and snacks with you for your match as there is none at the site (only water on site is found in fountain off court and in bathrooms).
Heading North on Hwy 360, take a left onto Westlake Dr. and follow same directions noted above.

PARENTS & PLAYERS of MAIN DRAW PARTICIPANTS All tournament players must register for the Texas Open 16s beginning at 12 noon on Friday, June 26th. Signed Medical Release Forms must be submitted at tournament registration.
PARENTS & PLAYERS participating in the QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT: All qualfier participants must check in for their event no later than 11:15 a.m. Friday, June 26th. Be sure to have your USTA Medical Release Form signed and ready to submit at tournament registration desk prior to tournament play.

The United States Tennis Association requires a signed medical release covering all entrants in national USTA events. The release must be signed by the entrant and parent or guardian of any entrant who is a minor. Please complete the USTA/Medical Release Form and bring with you to tournament registration. This form MUST be submitted prior to match play. more info

PARENTS, COACHES, AND PLAYERS This is to notify you that no selection process will be done for doubles prior to tournament start. All registration will take place at the tournament with a registration deadline of 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27th. See tournament desk for assistance with doubles registration. Doubles play will begin on Sunday, June 28th following singles play.
