SUNDAY DEVOTION
On Sunday at 6:45 AM there will be a short non-denominational devotion. It will be at the Florence Country Club tennis courts. Lead by local youth pastor and former tennis player Warren Mainard.

REGISTRATION/CHECK IN
Please check website for times, do not call Florence Country Club to inquire about match times. Registration will be open from 4pm - 8pm on Friday, April 18th, 2008. All players must report to Florence Country Club at least 1 hour prior to their first scheduled match.

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS
Entering two tournaments at the same time is a violation of the USTA rules in the USTA Southern Section, and players may be assessed five (5) junior suspension points for violation of this rule. In "Friend at Court," USTA Tournament Regulation 1 N. 11 & 12 states: 11. *A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments are scheduled to overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing." 12. " A player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the players' entry is accepted in another tournament. A player shall not enter a tournament with the intention of withdrawing if the player's entry is accepted in another tournament, unless the Tournament Committee for the tournament in which the player has entered understands the situation and concurs with the contemplated action."

SELECTION PROCESS
Top 64 players from the USTA/SOUTHERN latest standing list. 56 players from the age group and up to 8 from the younger age group and have a top 80 standing and are not in the selected 56. In the boy and girls 10's all selection will come from the 10's standing list and will have a limit of 32. The 8's will have a limit of 16. No later than Monday April 16th we will have the selections on the website.

ALTERNATES
Alternates by event report will be updated. Contact us immediately if you realize you are unable to attend so alternates can move up. Check website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if you are accepted in the draw. Make sure your membership profile is correct so we can contact you. Once selected for play your credit card will be charged.

SCORING FORMAT
All draws will have full feed in through Quarters and 3/4 playoff. Main draw best 2 out of 3 sets. Consolation will be playing a 10 point in lieu of 3rd set. In event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change.

DRAWS AND MATCH TIMES
Draws and first match times will be posted no later than 9am Thurs. April 17th. Please get you first match time on the website and DO NOT call for your times. All check in will be at Florence Country Club. You can check in from 6 pm to 9 pm on Friday April 18th and then you can go straight to your site on Saturday. IF YOU ARE CHECKING IN ON SATURDAY YOU MUST BE THERE ONE HOUR BEFORE YOUR START TIME.
THAT MEANS 7 AM FOR A 8 AM MATCH.

DRAW SIZES
Boys and Girls 12s through 18s will have a draw of 64, Boys and Girls 10s draws are limited to 32, Boys and Girls 8s draws are limited to 16.

MEDICAL RELEASE
MEDICAL RELEASE is now required by Southern prior to playing matches. Parents or Guardians must sign. Please download and bring with you to registration if possible. Both FCC and Southern release must be signed before first match.

COURT SURFACE
The Boys 12,14,16,18 and Girls 12,14,16,18 will be played on hard courts. The Girls 8 and 10 and Boys 8 and 10 will be played on clay courts.

TENNIS BALLS
Wilson balls will be used . New ball will be furnished for the 3rd set in the main draw.

Play will begin promptly at 8 am on Saturday, April 19th and
continue through Monday, April 21st. Players should be prepared to
play 3 rounds of consolation on Sunday and Monday using a tie-break
in lieu of a third set.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
