Thanks to all of you for coming out this weekend and participating in the City of Rock Hill Championships. I know the rain delay tried to slow us up a little, but we tried not to let that stop us from hosting this event. We hope that we were able to offer a quality tournament and that you will come back to play again this year & next. It was a pleasure to meet all of you & to see familiar faces again. Sorry to those few that we did not do our best for & we hope we can serve you better next time. Our main computer has locked up on Sunday night, maybe from over-use on Saturday, but we are having trouble entering some final scores. We remember who won & I can load the winners of each match, but remembering each score is somewhat difficult. Please send an email with the correct score. We will not post the scores of the match until we have reached each player to confirm the score. Thanks for your cooperation.

All players need to check in at the desk after each match. This is a feed-in or a round robin type draw for singles. If you lose in the 2nd or third round, you will play again. Check the draws for all match times & all updates. It is the players responsibility to know exactly what time their next match is at all times. We will try to update the draws online each hour of the day & at the tennis center at the tournament desk.

IMPORTANT!!! There are additional parking spots behind the tennis center at Sullivan Middle School. We have only 35 spots at the bottom of the hill of the tennis center, with an additional 200 spots behind the courts at the middle school. DIRECTIONS: When you turn left/right onto Maplewood Ave. from Cherry Road, do not turn into the parking lot of the center, continue straight on Maplewood Ave. for 1/8 of a mile, then turn right onto Eden Terrace and then a quick right into the middle school lot by the tennis courts.

In the event of inclement weather, the referee has discretion to use alternate scoring or cancel the consolation draws, if needed. Scoring formats may be shortened by the referee also. THERE IS RAIN IN THE FORECAST FOR THE WEEKEND. WE ASK THAT YOU CHECK THE WEBSITE REGULARLY FOR UPDATED INFORMATION IF PLAY IS CANCELED. WE WILL KEEP THE WEBSITE UPDATED ON NEW TIMES EVERY 30 MINUTES, SO WE ASK THAT YOU KEEP PHONE CALLS TO THE MAIN DESK LIMITED.

897 Maplewood Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730 From I-77 North/South: Take Exit 82 B towards Rock Hill. Turn onto Cherry Road heading west. Continue on Cherry Road for 1 1/4 miles through 5-6 traffic lights. Tennis Center will be on your left. If you have come to Cherry Park or to Blockbuster you have gone to far. CiCi-s Pizza & TCBY is across the street, Little Caesar's Pizza, Penn Station, & Family Dollar are a block just before the center on the same side of the street. Call (803)-326-3842 if you need help. From I-85 take Route #5 or Route 161 towards Rock Hill/York, do not go all the way to Charlotte. Follow Route #5 into Rock Hill & turn left onto Cherry Road. Continue on Cherry Road for 2.1 miles and the tennis center will be on your right.

All players are to check in at the Rock Hill Tennis Center for their first match. If you are scheduled to play at Northwestern High School for your first match, you must check-in at the Tennis Center at least 45 minutes in advance & then you may go to the high school to check in for your match. For your second match & so on, you may check in directly at that site. Players arriving late will be penalized accordingly to code.

Play will be 2 out of 3 sets for Juniors in the Boy's & Girl's 12's, 14's, 16's, & 18's singles draws playing out the 3rd set in the main draw only. Boy's & Girl's 8 & 10 under singles, & all consolation singles will play a match tie-break for the third set. Doubles matches will be an 8 game pro-set.

First Match times will be posted periodically over the next 3-5 hours. We are having a tournament meeting from 12pm-2pm. After the meeting, we will finish posting the remaining draws. If you do not see a time for your match, that means you will not play until Saturday. Saturday times will be posted tonight. Please remember that we have an adult tournament as well this weekend. Together we have 253 entries for this weekend. I will have Saturday times out later this evening. Still watching the rain patterns coming our way. BOO!!!

Within walking distance: CiCi's Pizza, Sammy's Bar & Grill, Little Caesars Pizza, TCBY, Eat Well Family Restaurant, Penn Station Subs, Burk's BBQ, TOYO Sushi. We also have a small concession area that provides snacks, sodas, & powerade to our customers. Within 1/2 mile drive: Chick-fil-a, Wendy's, Arby's, McDonalds, Subway, Bojangles, Jack-in-the-box, Starbucks, OutBack, Taco Bell, KFC, Thai House, Burger King, Jersey Mikes, Lee's, & Wing King.

Turn left out of the tennis center parking lot. Turn left onto Cherry Road. Follow Cherry Road for approx. 2-3 miles. Turn Right onto West Main Street (State Route #5) follow Rt.#5 for another 2 miles. Turn left into Northwestern High School at the second light going into the school. Follow the first loop around and take second turn to the left and courts will be behind the High School.

The entry fee for doubles is included in fees, the only charge for doubles is the $3.00 tennislink fee to sign up online. We encourage all participants to play doubles, if you need a partner, please email the Director to pair you up with a partner. If we signed you up for doubles at the tennis center, you will need to pay the $3.00 tennislink fee when you check in.

Awards will be given out to all winners & finalist of each division in singles & doubles.

Any requests for time or day avoidences must be received by Tuesday, April 8th @ 12pm. Avoidences will only be granted if draw size & seeding allow for it If you can not play before 6:00pm on Friday, we need to know ASAP. Please email the Director. Play may start as early as 4:30pm for those who can play before 6pm. We may be able to adjust later times on Friday for those traveling from out of town if requested in time. If there are no requests, it is understood you can start at the time the match times are posted.
