Tournament dates change
We will start the tournament on July 11th but look to finish on Thursday July 16th due to the smaller draw size, this should help all of you save some money in expenses.

Level of Tournament
This is a level 1A Sectional level and and level 3 National level, both points on a sectional and national level will be awarded to players participating in the event

Airports
RDU is the closest international airport to the Chapel Hill Tennis Club, lot's of comercial flights in, we are 30 minutes away from the airport. If you have a private plane you may fly into IGX in Chapel Hill which is 10 minutes away from the club.

Tournament Check in and Player meeting
check in for the tournament players will be on july 10th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. players meeting will be held on july 10th at 7:00 pm. this is not a mandotory check in or meeting, however valuable tournament information will be given out during that meeting and all players will be resposible for that information, it is up to you. it is also very helpfull to the tournament if players check into the tournament on the 10th during the designated check in time.

For College Coaches
we will have a table for all the college coaches to be able to put their schools information on, and coaches will be able to get telephone numbers and addresses of players in the tournament. the tournament does not have information for any of the kids who is still looking for a schoolarship the college coaches should be able to answer that for you.

Scoring
the scoring for main draw is best 2 of 3 sets and the scoring for consolation is a tiebreak in lieu of a third set. weather delays: we may use short scoring in the main draw in order to stay on schedule. This is a full feed in tournament through the quterfinals of the main draw in singles. Doubles is an 8 game pro set, single elimination.

Medical Release Forms
Please download the medical release form http://www.nctennis.com/pdffiles/MedicalReleaseForm.pdf and bring it to the tournament when you are checking in. You will not be able to play the tournament without filling one out. We will have them on site however it would be easier for everybody if they where filled out ahead of time. Thank You.

Please DO NOT call the pro shop 919-929-5248 for an updated draw, they do not have that information. We are updating as fast as we can. You may come out to the tournament and see the update on our score board or look on line. Thank you.

Main Site Hospitalities
we have a high quality snack bar which will be open for business during the tournament, they make great smoothies as well as some real healthy food, which tastes great and is actually good for you. there will be two ping pong tables for parents and players to play on as well as one air hockey table and a foosball table. we also have two platform paddle courts at the chtc and players, parents are welcome to give them a try. our pool with the nice slide will be open to the players as well as the parents or whoever is traveling with you the tournament. Water will be on all courts at all the sites, bathrooms will be available at all sites.

trainer will only be available at main site

Practice Courts
clay practice courts will be available to tournament players on thursday july 3rd and friday july 4th. you can't reserve them available on first come first serve basis. you might have to share a court come friday evening. once the tournament starts only hard courts will be available since all other clay will be used for the tournament.

Withdrawal/Refunds
you will not be charged for the tournament if you are not selected for the tournament. you must e-mail me your name and usta number to be withdrawn from the tournament, phone messages are unclear do too mubling messages, poor cell phone receptions, or me not being able to understand the message. if you withdrawl with an ethical reason 6 days before the tournament begins you will receive a refund, after that it is too late.

Directions to Chapel Hill Tennis Club
from the south: take 15/501 north to 15/501 bypass, 54 intersection. take 54 west (bypass) toward carrboro. follow 54 past the exit for greensboro st. westbrook dr. is the second left beyond greensboro st. (carolina apartments will be on the right). club dead ends on westbrook drive. from durham: take 15/501 bypass around chapel hill to its connection with 54 bypass. take 54 bypass west, see above. from raleigh: take i-40 to chapel hill and exit at 273a west onto 54 into chapel hill, then take 54 west bypass at glen lennox shopping center. follow 54 bypass and 15/501 toward carrboro, etc. see above.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, June 18, 2009 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
