Communications
The preferred mode of communication for the Midwest Hardcourts is via email. It gives the committee the ability to review exactly what a player is asking or concerned about. No information is passed along second hand, and there are few questions when the response is in print. It also leaves a time stamp which has basically ended the process of claiming a message was left before any of the time constraints for registration or witdrawal. Please direct your emails to the Director's email address listed above.

Seeding Guidelines
All players are individually responsible for providing their own seeding information to the tournament administration, which will be copied to the seeding committee. The committee may not have access to all your information, though we strive to find as much out as is possible about each player. We strive to provide as accurate a seeding process as is possible.
If we are not familiar with you, or your past results, it is in your best interests to provide us with as much information as possible.
The committee considers all info we have access to, but is not limited to, any of the following sources. The committee considers all sources of information and usually, but not always, places the most weight on the most current results. A past highly ranked player returning form an injury rehab or surgery may be judged a higher seed due to previous results, who has been playing well in the most recent tournaments.

Amateur Status
Any amateurs participating in a tournament offering prize money must precisely follow the rules governing their conduct in a field containing professionals.
Our prime concern is that no high school, collegiate or amateur athlete will in any way jeopardize their amateur standing or school or athletic association playing eligibility. Make sure you clear your participation with your coach, school and league administrators before you participate in this tournament.
The tournament and committe are not responsible for any mistakes made by an individual concerning their amateur staus or athletic eligibility or their loss of these privileges. Each athlete is responsible for their own situation.
All the current rules and regulations concerning amateurs in a prize money event are located on the NCAA tennis web site, whose link is at the end of this message.
The reimbursement forms are located on the ITA site linked below, and should be downloaded, completed and turned in to the tournament director for reimbursement. Instructions and the steps to follow in completing the form for requesting reimbursement form are included at the site.
