Palisades Tennis Club - Club rules
The Palisades Tennis Club in Newport Beach, our host site, is the premiere club in all of Southern California. Located just a mile from the ocean, the club is a tennis player's dream with beautiful court surfacing, lighting, and a classic, all-tennis emphasis from the courts to the bar. Players and their guests are welcome to come and observe all week at no charge our clubhouse, restaurant and bar are open to all. We do ask that guests park in the non-member (Hyatt) parking lot to the LEFT of the entrance off of Jamboree. The parking lot adjacent to the courts is for members only, and may cause your car to be towed (please don't let that happen!). BRING YOUR RECEIPT FOR HYATT PARKING and the club will VALIDATE YOUR RECEIPT so you are not charged. The guest parking lot is just a 50-yard warm-up walk, and we appreciate your understanding of the limited parking. During the weekdays (before 2 PM), parking is not an issue, but we want you to be prepared for matches that may go beyond that hour. Remember that COLLARED SHIRTS ARE REQUIRED on the courts, and no black-soled shoes are allowed. Club address: 1171 Jamboree Road, Newport Beach, 92660.

Sites: "PTC" and "BBC"
Our primary site is the Palisades Tennis Club ("PTC" on your draw sheet). We have just a few rounds played on Wednesday at the "BBC" site: Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club. Their address is: 1602 East Coast Highway, Newport Beach, 92660. BBC is just about a mile from Palisades Tennis Club. From PTC: head west 1 block to Pacific Coast Highway turn left on PCH (Hwy 1) to the first signal, Irvine Terrance Dr. turn left into Newport Beach Country Club parking lot -- BBC is on your right.

Player Parties - CHANGE for 60+ divisions (now Wed mid-day)
We have outstanding player parties for both groups - weekday (60+) has a BBQ luncheon on Wednesday from 12-4, and the younger divisions have a dinner and party Saturday night.

MEN MUST WEAR COLLARED SHIRTS. NO T-shirts. No black soled shoes.

Parking:
All weekend players and all players scheduled for play at Palisades Tennis Club after 12:00 noon during the week (Monday-Friday) must park in the lower lot of the Hyatt Hotel. Parking in the Palisades lot between 12:00 noon and 7:30 pm weekdays and at all times on weekends is reserved for club members only. Follow the signs to the lower parking lot (Turn left at the stop sign when entering) and bring your parking ticket with you for validation and complimentary parking.

60 and Over events will begin on Monday. Matches will be played during the daytime.

CLOSEST AIRPORT is the Orange County Airport (SNA), just 7 minutes from Palisades Tennis Club.

The Pacific Southwest Senior Championship Tournament is now a USTA National Super Category II Event.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, September 8, 2008 5:00:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
