All players must have these two forms completed and signed by the parent or legal guardian. Parents please do not send your child without this form SIGNED and Completed. Print it now and save time and frustration later. Medical Release Form MUST be turned in BEFORE they go on the court for their first match. CHECK-IN and REGISTRATION
You may check-in and submit your forms at the time and site of your first match. Make sure you check the site where your first match will be played, and plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled match time. Check the draw online frequently for any updates or changes throughout the tournament. You may get your tournament package and T-shirt by coming to the main site between 6-8pm

Selection Process
Top 32 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest standing list. 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the lower age group who are eligible for the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not selected in the 28, will be selected. Selections will be posted no later than Sunday after the deadline. The names of the selected players will appear as COMPETITORS. Alternates are listed in the TOURNAMENT REPORTS SECTION. DO NOT REFER TO THE ALTERNATES ON THE FAR LEFT SIDE OF THE WEB PAGE.

Seedings
We will use the latest STA Rankings list and any other available information to select the seeds for this tournament.

Signing up for two age divisions
Players are allowed to enter 2 divisions following these guidelines:
1) Players selected to both age groups they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division and removed from the younger age division.
2) Players not selected in either division would remain on the alternates list for both age groups but will be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternate list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division.
3) Players selected to one age group will be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected.
4) Once a player is selected for any age division no changes can be made.

Format of play
Draws will be limited to 32 players.All matches will be best two out of three sets with a tiebreaker in lieu of the third set. Doubles will be an 8 game pro-set. The singles draw will be FMLC (first match loser consolation). Doubles will not have a consolation draw. All doubles will be played on Saturday. In the event of inclement weather we may elect to use alternative scoring. Players are responsible for knowing which method is being used before the beginning of each match.
Pro Penn is the official tournament ball.

On-Site Alternates
Any withdrawal made after 8 p.m. Friday evening will be awarded to on-site alternates. You must be on-site at the time that the withdrawn defaulted/player was to play. You must make yourself known to the site desk and the site referee prior to the time of your match. At that time you must pay your entry fee of $50.00.

WITHDRAWALS
All withdrawals must in the form of an email sent to david@rrctennis.com. NO PHONE WITHDRAWALS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Withdrawals from this point forward (Sun. Sept.14) will not receive a refund for any reason.

Sites and court surfaces
All sites have hard courts except at the main site. RCC are clay courts and the RRC Indoor courts are clay as well.

Rain Policy
In the event of inclement weather, all players should report to their scheduled match site and wait for further instructions from the site referee. Please check the tournament home page for updates or call the tournament inclement weather information line at 919-876-0565 ext 150. Weather updates will be posted online frequently. We may elect to use alternative scoring once play is resumed. That scoring will be used to complete the round. Thank you, in advance, for your patience and cooperation during weather delays.

Practice Courts
Players wishing to practice on Friday Sept. 19 may do so at RRC after 4:30 p.m. We will have 6 clay courts reserved for practice on Friday. There will be no hard courts for practice on Friday until after 6:00 p.m. at the earliest. Warmup courts during the tournament will be hard courts only at the main site from 7 a.m. on and the courts will need to be cleared by 7:40 a.m.

Stringing Services
Stringing services will be available at the RRC Pro Shop at the tournament main site. Cost with your own string is $15.00. We also have a limited variety of string if you do not have your own.

Trainer
We will have a trainer available at the RRC main site during days of play.
|
PLAYER HOSPITALITY
Juice, water, fruit, coffee, ice, and bagels will be available for the players and parents at the main site. Fruit, ice and water will be available for players at the alternate sites.
BREAKFAST BUFFET WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE MAIN SITE FOR A COST OF $6.99 Saturday and Sunday Morning. The Match Point Grille will be available with an ala carte menu throughout the tournament.

Event Photographer
Digital Difference will be taking photographs for purchase of players on selected courts during the tournament Saturday and Sunday at the main site only.

The Raleigh Junior Classic and the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel provide a discounted rate for all families participating at our tournament. The rate is $69 per night plus all taxes for a one bedroom King Size bed, and $79 per night plus all taxes for a bedroom two Queen size beds. To receive the discounted rate please ask for the" RALEIGH RACQUET CLUB " rate when calling to make reservations. Also to receive this rate reservations must be made by September 13th. The Courtyard by Marriott is located at 1041 Wake Towne Drive, Raleigh, NC, aproximately 7 minutes away from our main site, and 12 minutes from every other site.
