Thank you!
Everything has been posted. I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding with the weather and any other issues. It was a long weekend but we completed almost everything. I hope to see you all again next year and look forward to good weather. If anyone lost any items please email me. I have a few things that were found. Also thanks to everyone for the compliments and good wishes. Those are the main reason we continue to run these events. Sincerely, Courtney Harrell - Tournament Director

General Information
This is a North Carolina Level 3 tournament and a Level 4 Southern tournament. This tournament may start as early as 8:00 AM on Saturday. We are expecting a large turnout so we can not accomodate any conflicts. All matches will play 2 out of 3 sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set. Feed-in Consolation will be used through the quarterfinals and a playoff for third and fourth may be used. The officials will be available to answer questions and settle disputes but they will not serve as line judges for individual courts. Please promote good sportsmanship. Further information will be provided as the deadline approaches. I encourage you to register early. If you have any questions feel free to email me at s.courtneyharrell@gmail.com

Playing Surface
Boys' and Girls' 10's will be played on Clay surfaces at Lake Wilson Tennis CLub and possibly one other site. All other age groups will play on hard court surfaces. Additional Information will be posted later.
|
Seedings and Selections
For all NC residents NC Standiings will take precedent. For players who reside outside of NC Southern Standings wil be considered for seedings and selection. When Southern and NC Standings conflict the tournament committee will decide on a case by case basis which standings shall be used.

Limited Draw
All draws are limited to 32 participants. Please take this into account when deciding what event to enter. The top 32 players will be chosen for each event so if you are playing in a higher age group for which you do not have ranking points you will mostly likely not be chosen for that event if the entries exceed 32. I suggest entering your current age group and notifying me by email if you would like to play a higher division. If space allows I may allow you to move up to the higher division once the deadline has closed and I have the final count. I may allow more than 32 in a draw if NCTA and schedule permit but do not plan for that.

Medical Release Form
Players are required to submit a Completed Medical Release form and Parent Agreement before participating in the tournament. You may click the following link and print a copy of the form if you would like to complete it in advance.

Practice Courts
Tournament sites will be closed 30 minutes prior to the start of play. If you would like to warm-up you should do so before this time. Practice will not be allowed during the tournament once play has begun each day.

Draw Formats and Awards
All draws with more than 16 participants will be feed-in consolation through the quarterfinals with a 3rd/4th playoff. All draws with less than 16 participants will be feed-in through the semifinals. Smaller draws may be round robins in order to maximize play. Events with more than 16 participants will be awarded 1st through 5th place awards. All other events will be awarded 1st through 3rd place awards.

Hotels
Follow the link to Wilson Visitor's Bureau Accomodations page. There are no prefferred hotels however I do not recommend the Hampton chain. The first year of the tournament we had a hurricane and rescheduled the event. They were the only hotel that would not cancel reservations without charging a 1 night minimum.
