BEFORE YOU CALL, PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW -IT WILL SAVE ON PHONE CALLS. Especially, read the section below about new Scheduling Guidelines.
Do not be surprised when you read your match time-it may look strange!!

SCHEDULING GUIDELINES
Because of a new USTA-mandated procedure for handling lateness penalties for players in groups of matches scheduled at the same time, the match times have been staggered throughout each hour. No longer are times solely set on the half-hour or hour. Therefore, except for the large group of matches that will start each day, few matches will start at the same time. This should help players avoid lateness penalties and will free the tournament desk from putting on a block of matches every half hour. Comments are welcome throughout the tournament.

FIRST MATCH TIME and DRAW INFORMATION
The FIRST MATCH TIMES are directly above at the cleverly named First Match Time Report - they are NOT on the Draws. Two sites are in use H=Hudlow, RJ=Rhodes Jordan. To avoid confusion, the DRAWS do NOT have match times. However, they do have the day of the match.. Next round match times only may be found on the posted draws at Hudlow and Rhodes Jordan. It is the PLAYERS' RESPONSIBILITY to get their next round match times from these posted draws BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE SITE!!!! Barring weather issues, no additional match times will be posted at this site. *Two sites are in use.
*If you need directions to Hudlow, then please call us. Internet directions may be a bit misleading.
** For directions to Rhodes Jordan, we shall have them at Hudlow or we can fax them. Also, its address is 100 East Crogan Street, Lawrenceville.
*** It is the PLAYERS' RESPONSIBILITY to get their next round match times from the posted draws BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE SITE!!!!

SEEDING INFO
For the BG18's, BG16's, and BG14's, the Seeding was done in accordance with USTA Reg.II.A.4. Briefly, it states that the seeding committee shall consider all available evidence including, but not limited to rankings, current records, common opponents, quality of tournaments played, and PARTICULARLY recent HEAD-TO-HEAD ENCOUNTERS. (Capitalization added for emphasis.) The current standing lists simply were used as a starting point. In addition, there were some players "moving up" with little exposure in their new age group who had to be considered for seeding. Comments are welcome, as long as they do not refer to standings, rankings, or point totals. For the BG12's and BG10's, time restraints forced us solely to use the latest standing lists.

MORE SEEDING INFO
Finally, two new USTA regulations further clarify the seeding process. One, a tournament cannot be seeded “using only a computer generated means such as a standings list or ranking list”. Two, “the number of players seeded shall equal a power of two (for example: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 etc.) ”.

PLAYER SELECTION PROCESS
The B!4 and B16 selection process were based on the latest GTA standings within that age group and with consideration for players with a high standing in a younger age group. All other players were selected. Refer to the "Competitor" list directly above.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, September 7, 2008 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
