APPLICANTS LIST AND COMPETITORS LIST!

The Applicants list should include players who registered on line. Applicants will appear on the Competitors list on line when the tournament staff downloads those players, then uploads the tournament in TDM. Appearing on the Competitors list does NOT mean the player has been accepted to play. All tournaments must have a limit to their draw size - there is no such thing as an unlimited draw where all players who enter will get to play. By USTA tournament regulations players who register before the deadline no matter how early or late in relationship to the deadline must be evaluated by strength or playing record for seeding and selection of who is accepted into a particular tournament. Points per round lists, put out by Usta national, section(Midwest) and district(CITA) associations, are the primary input to this evaluation of playing strength.

FORMAT/SCORING

Best two out of three sets, regular scoring with a set tiebreak in any set that reaches 6-all. Dunlop Grand Prix balls. First match consolation tournament with quarterfinal consolation and playoff for third and fourth place. NO DOUBLES

FIRST MATCH TIMES/CHECK-IN

Matches will start as early as 5:30pm on Friday. Matches will be played indoors at IRC Dean Road (Dean) and IRC East (East). Draws and first match times will be posted on the internet by Wednesday at 10:00 am (two days before the tournament begins play). Times are official unless contacted directly with a revised time (please make sure that you have provided your current phone numbers and e-mail address) and might change from the first posting.

SITES / DIRECTIONS

The Indianapolis Racquet Club has two locations: Dean Road Club at 8249 Dean Road (16 indoor courts) and East Club at 4901 N. Shadeland Ave. (8 indoor courts). Both Clubs may be utilized for matches. Generally, Friday matches play at Dean Road, while Saturday and Sunday matches play at our East Club location. PRACTICE COURTS

Tournament players are welcome to rent courts for practice at both of our facilites. A credit card is required at the time of making the reservation. We accept Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. Let our front desk staff know that you are a tournament participant and we will waive the guest fees. Sorry, no refunds are given for unused courts. Call the front desk at (317) 849-2531 to make your reservation.

DRESS CODE

Proper tennis attire must be worn. Bare midriffs, spaghetti straps, short shorts, ragged cut-off shirts and shorts and offensive t-shirts are not considered appropriate. Thank you for your cooperation.

RESTAURANTS & SHOPPING

Please visit Joe's Crab Shack Restaurant (located directly across the street from our Dean Road Club) while you're in town! Several other restaurants are located nearby both club locations. For shopping, vistit Keystone at the Crossing Fashion Mall and Castleton Square Mall. Both of these major malls are located within minutes the the Indianapolis Racquet Club.
