G16 Doubles
Due to the withdrawal of a seeded pair and another pairing, several changes have been made in the G16 doubles draw. Please check your times, locations, seeding, and pairings carefully. Players whose times have changed have been contacted by the tournament staff.

On Site Alternates must bring Birth Certificates
All players must have birth certificates on file before they can play a match at the Qualifier. Thus, if you are coming as on on-site alternate, you MUST bring your birth certificate with you in case a spot becomes open for you.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES
MUST GET YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE INTO USTA Georgia office IN ORDER TO PLAY in the Qualifier, if we do not get a copy of your birth certificate you will be replaced in the draw. Check the birth certificate list, if your name appears then we do not have it on file.

MEDICAL RELEASE
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of tournament registration. Please download and bring this completed with you to speed up the registration process. Players are not allowed on court without this signed release. PLAYER REGISTRATION
All players must register for the tournament prior to playing their first match. Registration will take place only at John Drew Smith Tennis Center. Registration hours are Friday, June 5 from 4 - 6:30 PM EST or Saturday, June 6 from 6:45 AM - 5:00 PM EST. After the initial registration, players should check-in at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled match at the assigned site. When a player checks in, it means that they are ready to play.

We are accepting doubles entries until 2:00 PM Monday June 1 as long as they do not effect the seeding

Doubles entry information
The Doubles deadline has closed as of midnight May 28th but we will continue accepting entries until the seeds are posted only in those division that are not filled.
Acceptance into the draw will be base off of the combined standings of both players as of the May 19th standing list. Players will only be considered if we have received a confirmation email from both players wanting to play together. Tournament can not send out any more request for contacting players.

Matches: BG 12-18.
First day of the tournament: One (1) Doubles, One (1) Singles, One (1) Doubles. BG 18 matches will begin at 2 pm.
Second day of the tournament: One (1) Singles (Main Draw), One (1) Singles (Consolation), Two (2) Doubles.
Third day of the tournament: One (1) Singles (Main Draw), Two (2) Singles (Consolation), Doubles Finals.
Fourth day of tournament: One (1) Singles (Main Draw), Two (2) Singles (Consolation).
Matches: BG 10.
First day of the tournament: One (1) Doubles, One (1) Singles (Main Draw).
Second day of the tournament: One (1) Main Draw match or One (1) Consolation match and Two (2) Doubles matches.

ATTENTION DOUBLES SIGN-UP
Doubles Draws are limited to 32.
For doubles you must play in the age group you are playing singles.
The deadline to sign up for doubles is May 27th, 11:59 PM. No entries will be taken after this date.
After the on-line registration closes May 18, you may sign-up for doubles by email maconten@bellsouth.net
or fax 478-477-0575.
Please look at the Doubles Entrants Report to confirm the tournament has your correct doubles information.
Players who are not selected for singles will not be selected for doubles. If you want to still play doubles, you must notify the tournament and your selection in doubles will be based on the following:
#1.Only players in a singles division will be selected for doubles in that division.
#2.One partner is in singles and the other partner is an alternate in that division.
#3. Both players are singles alternates in that division.
Players who are not signed up as partners online must have both players confirm the partnership with the tournament. If partners signed up on-line and both included the partners name it is not necessary to confirm.
The tournament WILL NOT put players together.
If you do not have a partner by the deadline, you will be removed from doubles.

ENDORSEMENT INTO USTA SOUTHERN CLOSED CHAMPIONSHIP
Players seeking endorsement into the USTA Southern Closed Championships must play in the Qualifying ( excluding waivered players ) and MUST play in the age divison they want to be endorsed into USTA Southern Closed Championships.
All Players must play double in the same age division in which they entered singles in the USTA Georgia Closed Qualifier.

Criteria for Endorsement USTA Southern Closed Champion
Players must play in the Qualifying in the age division the player wants to be endorsed to the USTA Southern Closed Championships. In some instances, players who meet outlined criteria may be waived from the Qualifying and still be endorsed to the USTA Southern Closed Championships. The major consideration for endorsement to the USTA Southern Closed Championships will be the June 11, 2009 USTA Georgia Standings.

ALTERNATES
The Alternates by Event Report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately by email or fax if you realize that you cannot come. It is the alternates' responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change to being in the tournament. You should make sure your contact information is correct on your membership profile. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately by VISA or MASTERCARD.

WITHDRAW
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do it online. Click on edit registration, then withdraw. You will get a confirmation number - KEEP THIS NUMBER! Without the confirmation number you will not have proof that you withdrew. All Withdrawals after entries close must be sent in writing by E-mail to maconten@bellsouth.net to the attention of Donna Bailey. Please be aware that if a player withdraws for any reason other than illness, injury, or a family emergency: suspension points will be given to that player. We will be checking if players that withdraw are playing in other tournaments that same week. Players withdrawing within 7 days of the tournament start date will not be refunded the entry fee. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after 11:59 EST on Saturday, May 30, 2009.

established a legal residency in Georgia, hold a current USTA
membership card assigned to Georgia, and who are citizens of the

national ranking. STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - This is a State Championship
tournament.
