Level 2 Midwest USTA Points Per Round, Level 4 National Points Per Round
This tournament is designed to bring together the top 16 and under girls in the Midwest. Any player in the Midwest Section is encouraged to apply however in the past only players on the USTA/Midwest Section or USTA National Standings List have been accepted into the tournament.

USTA/Midwest Section Domicile Rules
The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and USTA/Midwest Section Junior Davis & Wightman Cup events are open to citizens of the U.S., permanent resident aliens in possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form I-485, aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than one year and who are members of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have been granted Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.

New for 2008 Tournament will be a 64 draw and include Feed in Consolation
Players may play up to three matches on Sunday if they are in the consolation. Please note that with the new Feed In Consolation format a total of 16 players will be competing on Monday morning. Due to the increase of matches, the final rounds will end much later into Monday as in previous years.

Player Contact Information
We cannot contact you unless you provide us your telephone numbers and your email address. The USTA Legal Department has determined that they cannot provide contact information to tournament directors unless the customer provides the contact information during the registration process. Previously the home phone number and email address were pre-filled from the USTA Membership database when a player went through the online registration process. The pre-fill was removed due to privacy concerns. If you don't provide an email address and/or telephone number when you register for this tournament then we will be unable to notify you about any possible changes in the tournament.

USTA/Midwest Section Suspension Point System/Signing Up for Two Tournaments
Signing up for two events: The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension Point System is in effect. You are expected to play the entire event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point System. All players will be given five (5) suspension points for entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved agrees with the multiple entries in writing via email. This applies to all players who signed up for the tournament including alternates.

USTA/Midwest Section Seeding & Selection Criteria (as of 10/10/08)
All USTA/Midwest Sectional and Designated Tournaments will adhere to the following Seeding and Selection Criteria as set by the USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition committee. Players will be selected based on the most current USTA/Midwest Sectioin Standing List at the time of the tournament entry deadline. Players will be selected by the following 1) Eight(8) players from the top 100 of the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the next lower division 2) 56 players from the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age division of the event 3) Remaining vacancies and/or alternates will be selected from the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the division of the event. Seeding will be done based on the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List on 10/17/08.

Scoring
All matches consist of two tiebreak sets (with a set tiebreak at six games all), followed by in lieu of a third set, a match tiebreak (first player to 10 points with a 2 point lead). Advantage scoring will be used for all matches.

Practice Courts
To reserve practice courts, players may call the club to reserve and prepay with a credit card at a rate of $13 per half hour. Please wait until you know your first match start time, to reserve courts.

Draws will be posted on 10/25, then hourly throughout each day.

Refund Policy
There will be no refunds, for any reason, beginning Saturday, October 18.
|
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Saturday, October 11, 2008 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
