COTTON BOWL CLASSIC - JR & ADULT OPEN (Jr, Ad, Sr)

Thank you to all the players in this year's MCB Cotton Bowl Classic and to the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation for sponsoring the tournament again. We appreciated your patience as we had to deal with the rain on Saturday. We would also like to thank Brookhaven Country Club, Bent Tree Country Club, Canyon Creek Country Club, Las Colinas Country Club and Northwood Club for opening their facilities to our tournament. We hope to see everyone again next year!

Just a reminder that this tournament is played on both outdoor and indoor courts. Please dress appropriately for the weather outside.

The tournament seeding has been completed. Information used for seeding included Texas Section rankings/standings (12 month rolling for adults, most current standings list for juniors), National rankings, Pro Circuit rankings/points, NCAA rankings (if players were in the top 100) and information sent to the DTA Office. If you find a major seeding oversight, please contact the DTA Office (office@dta.org) by 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 19th. No changes to seeding will be made after this time as the draws and scheduling will be in progress. Please note that there are no seeds in round robin events (4 or less players) and events without sufficient seeding information may have fewer seeds than others.

We are not accepting any late entries to this tournament. The original entry deadline was extended to Sunday, December 14th, in order to give players a few extra days to register. If you missed the extended deadline, we are sorry. (Entry to this tournament has been opened for over a month.)

Note that juniors who registered for the wrong division were automatically moved to the correct division based on information from the Texas Section. Note: only qualified players can play in Championship and Super Championship divisions. If you have questions or issues as to the movement/placement please contact the Texas Section. (The Dallas Tennis Association does not have anything to do with qualification points/rules.)

Both doubles partners must be registered in the tournament in order to be placed in the draw. Putting your partner's USTA number in on your registration does not register him/her. He/She must register seperately so both fees are paid and both players are registered. This must be done prior to the entry deadline.

The Adult divisions will begin play at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 26th. (Note that smaller divisions may start later in the day.) Most Adult divisions will finish play on Sunday, December 28th - larger draws like the Open draws will continue through the 29th or whenever they are complete. The Junior divisions will begin on either Sunday, December 28th (for larger draws) or Monday, December 29 (for smaller draws). All play will end by the evening of Wednesday, December 30.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Addison will be the host hotel for this tournament. Rates are $59 per night (room only) or $69 per night (with breakfast included).
