All players must have a Birth Certificate on file in the Southern office for proof of US citizenship..Green cards will be accepted, but passports will not. A file of those with proof on file is posted above.

ALTERNATES/CONTACT INFORMATION
It is your responsibility to notify us of your most current information. We will call the phone numbers given by TennisLink to notify you of the opportunity to enter. We will not try to contact you by the \ email address given by TennisLink this has proven to be unsuccessful. We will only communicate with you by email if you first contact us. This is the order alternates will replace any withdrawals originally selected from the Standings List. This report will be posted after selections.

SIGNING UP FOR TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS
Do not enter two tournaments at the same time. How to avoid Penalties: If you end up on the alternate list, you must with-draw from the alternate list first and then enter the 2nd event. Tournaments have different deadlines that will allow you time to make your changes.

BREAKING NEWS
Contact Information: Due to Alternate notification, time changes, and draw changes, it is imperative for you to add contact information (email and phone) during the online registration process when asked. So a player does not lose out, please help us by offering this contact information.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS
A signed medical release form is required prior to playing in the tournament. Parent or guardian must sign the medical release.

LATE ENTRIES
Anyone wanting to enter the tournament after registraion closes, has to email maconten@bellsouth.net If there are alternates in the division you wish to enter,
late entries will go below all other alternates, regardless of ranking.

WITHDRAWS
Withdraws from the tournament or alternates list must be in writing,
please send emails to maconten@bellsouth.net, Do not call to withdraw.
No refunds if the withdrawal is within seven days from tournament start date.

POINT OF NO RETURN
It is your duty to notify us if you have reached the "point of no return" for travelling. We under- stand that some of you may not be able to come at a moments notice if a spot opens. Please be courteous and withdraw from the Alternates List if you know you cannot travel. We have to contact Alternates in order, even though it may be the night before the tournament and you are in Kentucky. We cannot know someones intent until you tell us. As long as you are on the Alternates by Event Report, we assume you can still attend.

REGISTRATION
Registration will begin Februray 29th ( Friday ) 4:30PM until 7:30PM again on March 1st ( Saturday ) 7 AM until 12:30 PM. All players must register into the tournament one hour before their schedule match time. Registration is at John Drew Smith Tennis Center only. Only the player is allowed to register into
the tournament.

SCORING REGULATIONS/ FORMAT OF PLAY
Main Draw--2 out of 3 tie-break sets (new balls provided for the third set ).
Consolation--2 out of 3 sets, playing a match tie-break in lieu of third set ( 10 points ).
All mainidraw matches will be best two out of three sets.
All consolation matches will be best two out of three sets with a tiebreaker in lieu of the third set. The third set tiebreaker will be a match tiebreak played to ten points with a margin of two points.
The consolation will be a full feed-in cnsolation through the quarterfinals.
There will be a playoff for third and fourth place in the main draw.
Saturday: 2 rounds Main Draw, 1 round Consolation
Sunday: 2 rounds Main Draw, 3 rounds Consolation
Monday: 2 rounds Main Draw, 3 rounds Consolation
Weather Delays: We may use short scoring in the Main Draw in order to stay on schedule.

MATCH CHECK IN
Players are expected to check in at their match site at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled match time.

USTA RULES AND REGULATIONS/THE Code
All players are expected to play by the code, and follow all USTA rules and regulations.
In matches without an official on court, players are expected to follow the CODE..If
you've never read it, please do so.

POINT PENALTY SYSTEM
Point penalty system is in effect for all match play.
|
TRAINERS
There will be one trainer on site at John Drew Smith Tennis Center during matches. By law, trainers are not allowed to distribute medicine. Please bring your own Tylenol, Advil, Sinus medicine, etc.
If you have an injury or illness, we strongly suggest that you see the trainer. IF you need to withdraw due to an injury or illness, the process will be much smoother if we have confirmation from the trainer.
Remember that if you default due to an injury during the tournament, you must see the Head Referee in person or it will count as a "No-Show"

SELECTION PROCESS
Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest STANDINGS LIST. 56 players from this age group will be selected and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected. The names of the player who have been selected will appear as COMPETITORS. Alternates are listed in the REPORT SECTION. DO NOT REFER TO THE ALTERNATES ON THE FAR LEFT SIDE OF THE WEB PAGE (That list is not updated).

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Friday, February 15, 2008 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
