Thank you to all the players, parents, officials, staff and volunteers who helped to make our tournament successful. We appreciate your patience with the rain delay and late play on Saturday. The beautiful Hilton Head Sunshine carried us through on Sunday and Monday. We hope you all had a great experience and will return to play this tournament next year. We hope to make improvements each year to make it the best tournament possible

MANDATORY CHECK IN
Friday April 25th, 2008, 5:00-9:00 pm at Van der Meer's SHIPYARD Tennis Center.We will have sandwiches and refreshments provided by Hilton Head's "Deli By The Beach" during this time. Directions to Shipyard from I-95, take exit 8 (Hilton Head Is) onto Hwy 278. Stay on Hwy 278 onto the island. At the north end of the island, Hwy 278 will fork... take left-hand fork onto the Cross Island Pkwy(Toll Road). Pay the toll and proceed until you reach the Sea Pines traffic circle. Take the second exit off of the circle onto Pope Avenue. At the second traffic light take a left into Shipyard Plantation. Stop at the guard gate and let them know you are going to Van der Meer's Shipyard Tennis Resort.
All players must check-in at this time. Multiple sites will be used, so there will not be time to check-in prior to matches on Saturday, April 26. Except for a true emergency, there is no excuse for not being at check-in by 9:00 pm. For those of you who " just can't make it in time", you need to do the following:
1) Make sure your entry fee has been paid by Friday night- check the Tournament Entry Fee Report.
2) Fax your Medical Release Waiver with your cell phone number and hotel info to 843-785-7032 attn Justyn Schelver
3) Make sure you show up at the site where you are scheduled to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled match time! Point Penalty System will be enforced. /font>

ON SITE ALTERNATES
All "On Site" alternates must register at the tournament desk at the Main Site, Van Der Meer Tennis Center. Please send an e-mail to JustynSchelver@hotmail.com if you plan to be an on site alternate. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List.

ALTERNATES
Alternates by Event Report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot come. It is the alternates' responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change to being in the tournament. You should make sure your contact information is correct on your membership profile. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately. If you plan to enter another tournament, you must withdraw as an Alternate prior to entering the other tournament.
An ORDERED ALTERNATES REPORT is posted above. This is the order Alternates will be contacted for any open spots. 1) Contact Information-please email me the best contact information for you, such as a work phone or a cell phone. Below is the timeline detailing how much time you have to respond. 2) Payment-if you accept a spot, you must overnight your entry fee. Since you were not selected in the initial batch, your credit cards were never processed. An Alternate will not be listed as a competitor until the entry fee has been received. The entry fee is $48.88 made payable to Van der Meer Tennis, P.O. Box 5902, Hilton Head Island, SC 29938. We assume that you still want in the tournament as long as you are on the Alternates by Events List. Please contact us immediately if you want your name removed from the alternate list. It is the Alternate's responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. No Alternates will be contacted after 12:00 noon, Friday April 25th, and no changes will be made.

NEW USTA SEEDING INFORMATION
USTA Southern Level 1, 2 and 3 Tournaments. SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists:Southern Closed Championships (June) Published List on Monday prior to tournament start. Southern Championships (other than June) Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start. Southern Designated Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start. Southern Level 3 Published List used for Selections tournament start. In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

AMENITIES
Hilton Head's " Deli By The Beach " will be providing complimentary sandwiches, pasta salad, fruit salad, and drinks during Friday's check-in. Altanta Bread Company will provide bagels, pastries, and muffins each morning. Subway will provide a free meal coupon which may be used for lunch or dinner on Saturday or Sunday. Fruit will be available throughout the tournament. Hilton Head's " Deli By The Beach" will be serving lunch at Van Der Meer Tennis between 11:00-1:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

ACADEMY TRAINING SESSIONS
Van Der Meer Tennis Academy is offering a discounted rate to all Bullfrog participants for sessions taking place from Tuesday, April 22 - Friday, April 25. Morning practice session will take place from 10:00 to noon with afternoon session taking place from 3:30-6:00. Cost will be $45 per session. For more information or to reserve a spot please call Shari Frey @ 843-785-8388 ext 140. Players should be at VDM Tennis at least 10 minutes prior to the start of each session.

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries may be accepted or a new player may be substituted into the draw if the Tournament Committee determines that the ability of a new player does not invalidate the seeding. WITHDRAWALS
All Withdrawals after entries close must be sent in writing by E-mail to JustynSchelver@hotmail.com. Please be aware that if a player withdraws for any reason other than illness, injury, or a family emergency, suspension points can be given to that player. We will be checking if players that withdraw from the Bullfrog tournament are playing in other tournaments that same weekend. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after 11:59 EST on Saturday, April 19, 2007. Players withdrawing within 7 days of the tournament start date will not be refunded the entry fee.

NEW LATENESS PENALTY
NEW RULE FOR MATCH CHECK IN: > Regulation IV.A.2 now states "The referee may penalize a player who is on site for lateness if a court is available and the player has failed to check in at the tournament desk by the scheduled match time." > THIS MEANS, IF THERE IS 1 OPEN COURT AT 10:00 AND THERE ARE 3 MATCHES TO PUT ON THE REFEREE WILL START THE CLOCK FOR LATENESS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT CHECKED IN FOR 10:00 - EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH COURTS FOR ALL 3 MATCHES. SELECTION
Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest Standing List..56 players from this age group will be selected and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible for the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected.

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

TRAINER AT MAIN SITE
Kim DeReamer of Carolina Sports will be on site at Van der Meer Tennis Center. Remember that if you default due to an injury during the tournament, you have to speak directly to the Head Referee. Speaking to anyone else will result in a "Default-No Show" for your match.

STRINGER
Heinrich Bremer is the head of stringing and can be reached at 843-290-8933 in an emergency. Otherwise racquets should be turned in at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center Pro Shop located at 17 Deallyon Avenue.

MATCH AND PRACTICE SITES
Match Sites-VDM Tennis Center(VDM)-main site, VDM Shipyard(SHIP)-check in, Chaplain Park (CHAP), Hilton Head Beach and Tennis (HBT), and Hilton Head High School (HIGH).
Practice Sites-Cordillo Courts(3 hard), Hilton Head Middle School (4 hard), and VDM Tennis Center(3 hard). Alll practice courts will be 1st come, 1st serve (4 per court). Directions to all sites will be provided at check-in and attatched above.

PRACTICE COURTS ON FRIDAY EVENING
Practice courts will be available on Friday at Van Der Meer Tennis Center(13 hard) at 6:00 PM and Shipyard(4 hard) at 5:30PM. Courts will be 1st come/1st serve (4 players per court).

FORMAT OF PLAY
All maindraw matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets.
All consolation matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a Match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set.
There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place in the main draw.
You should expect 3 rounds of Consolation starting Sunday, April 27.
Short scoring may be used in the Main Draw if weather dictate. If so, expect 3 rounds per day in the Main Draw.

THE CODE
In matches without an official on court, players are expected to follow THE CODE. If you've never read it, please do so. USTA Point Penalty System will be used.

DRESS CODE
For the Boys: Any T-shirts worn must be plain or tennis related. No underwear should be visible above waist band or below hemline. Shirts must be worn at all times. Shorts must be worn appropriately above pelvic bones. Sleeveless shirts are acceptable if made that way - no cutoffs. For the Girls: Any T-shirts must be plain or tennis related. Skirts and shorts must be worn appropriately above the pelvic bones. The bottom of your shirt must touch the top of your skirt or shorts while standing upright- shoulders back. This means do not roll down your skirts or shorts. Thank you for your cooperation.
