Format
The format for this tournament is best of three full sets, regular scoring. Alternative scoring may be used due to extreme heat or other weather issues (see below). The Coman Tiebreak will be used when a set reaches six all. (Coman Tiebreak: Players change ends after the first point, and thereafter every fourth point.)
|
|
Alternative Scoring
If the Referee elects to use alternative scoring (e.g., 10-point Match Tiebreak) due to extreme heat or other weather related issues, please note: - Players take only a two-minute break after the second set (not a 10-minute break).
- Players do not leave the court (they go directly into the 10-point tiebreak after the two-minute set break).
- Players do not receive new balls for 10-point Match Tiebreaks.
- A decision regarding alternative scoring may not be made until shortly before matches begin. Players will be advised of the alternative scoring before they go on court for their matches.
