SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS
Arlington Tennis Center emphasizes postive sportsmanship by selecting one boy and one girl from our ATC Junior Singles Open to receive sporstmanship awards. The officials and tournament staff selected the brother-sister duo, Aaron McMullan (B16) and Antonia McMullan (Championship G14) of Allen to receive this special recognition. Congratulations to these two outstanding examples of sportsmanship both on and off the court.

MATCH CHECK-IN
- Check in for all matches at the match location at least 15 minutes before the match is scheduled to begin.
- FREE- tournament T-shirts may be picked up at Arlington Tennis Center on Saturday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- If you play an early match at an alternate location, you may play your first match before coming to ATC to get your T-shirt.
- Remember to give your site director a cell number when you check in so that we may contact you if needed.

DEADLINE HAS PASSED
The deadline for this tournament has passed. All Applicants who have been accepted in the tournament should be in the Competitors list, with the exception of three players whose divisions did not make (B18, SCB18). If you do not see your name on the COMPETITOR list, please email atc@arlingtontx.gov as soon as possible (no later than Tuesday, April 15). Players who entered incorrect divisions may also be moved to appropriate divisions once their entries have been verified.

WELCOME TO ATC
Welcome to Arlington Tennis Center Spring Junior Singles Open. ATC is a public facility featuring 20 outdoor lighted tennis courts, a full service proshop and concessions. Our proshop carries the latest in tennis racquets and other equipment, and we offer prompt stringing service. And, all of ATC's teaching staff are USPTA certified professionals. GENERAL INFORMATION
- This tournament is a USTA sanctioned even.
- Events offered at this tournament are Singles for B&G 10s Regular, and B&G 12s-18s Regular, Championship and Super Championship.
- TennisLink will not prevent non-qualified players from entering qualified divisions. Players will be removed from ineligible divisions after the deadline and placed in appropriate divisions.
- Divisions that do not make may be combined or cancelled. Refunds will be issued for divisions that do not make.
- Matches will not begin before 8:30 AM on Saturday, April 26.
- Trophies will be awarded in each division for First, Second and Consolation, as well as a Sportsmanship for Boys and Girls.

- Before you enter the tournament, PLEASE CHECK YOUR USTA MEMBER INFORMATION. Your USTA membership info is the official data downloaded and used by the tournament staff.
- Check that your USTA membership is current, your address and TELEPHONE NUMBERS are correct and that you have LISTED ALTERNATE (work and/or mobile) PHONE NUMBERS.

ENTERING THE TOURNAMENT
- On-line registration is encouraged as it is the fastest and most secure means of registration.
- On-line fee includes $3 TennisLink Administration fee.
- You should receive a confirmation number when you register on-line.

DEADLINE
- THE DEADLINE FOR THIS TOURNAMENT IS 11:59 PM, SUNDAY, APRIL 13.
- If you are in doubt about your entry, check the Applicants list and email linkteam@usta.com if your name does not appear on that list shortly after your registration on-line, or if you do not receive a confirmation number at the end of your registration process.
- NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
- Please do not wait until the day before the tournament to check on your entry status.

APPLICANTS and COMPETITORS
- Players who enter on-line will appear on the list of Applicants.
- If you withdraw after the deadline (but before the draws are posted), your name WILL STILL APPEAR on the Applicant list. We cannot remove your name from the Applicants.
- After the deadline (within 24 hours), the Competitor list will reflect players who are entered in the tournament.
- IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR NAME ON EITHER THE COMPETITOR OR THE APPLICANT LIST BY 2:00 PM ON TUESDAY, APRIL 15, EMAIL ARLINGTON TENNIS CENTER, atc@arlingtontx.gov, TO ENSURE YOUR ENTRY WAS RECEIVED.

FORMAT
- Format for B&G 12-18s will be regular scoring, best of three sets, with a 10-point match tie-break for third set.
- Format for B&G 10s will be no ad scoring, 8-game prosets, with a tie-break at 8 games all.

DRAWS and SEEDING
- Maximum draw sizes is 64.
- Championship players may not play up.
- Regular divisions are for non-qualified players and out-of-section players who are not approved to compete in Super Championship divisions.
- Seeding is primarily based on the latest Standings List provided by the Texas Section, but may include information gathered from rankings, player records and head-to-head encounters.
- Draws are computerized, but an effort will be made to separate players in the first round who are from the same town (when possible).
- Draws will be posted Tuesday, April 22, by 8:00 AM.

WITHDRAWALS
- Withdrawals will be reflected on-line through 6:00 PM, Friday, April 25.
- LATE WITHDRAWALS MAY NOT BE POSTED ON-LINE. We will attempt to contact opponents, but we may not be able to do so in every situation, particularly regarding withdrawals late Friday or early Saturday.
- If withdrawing late (after 4:00 PM Friday), please be considerate of opponents and notify ATC in writing AND via phone BEFORE the tournament begins Saturday morning, as email may not be read "instantly" late Friday, early Saturday or once it begins. Thank you!

- The tournament referee is Seande Pulley.

RAIN INFORMATION

- Divisions that begin play will not be refunded, including players affected by defaults or byes.

RACQUET STRINGING
ATC’s stringing staff is among the most experienced in our area, and we will offer 24-hour service for tournament players during the five-day event. In addition, demo racquets are available for a small fee.

ADVANCE PLANNING
- Spectators are not allowed on courts at any time.
- No pets are allowed in the ATC proshop/building or inside the fenced area around the courts.
- Smoking is not allowed in the proshop/building or inside fenced areas.
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the property (including the parking lot).

WATER ON COURTS
Water coolers are not on placed on ATC courts. However, free cups, are available in the proshop, and a commercial ice machine and water fountain are located on the west patio. In addition, players are welcome to purchase bottled water, fountain drinks, sports drinks and juices in the proshop. Players may also bring their own water jugs on court. Alternates sites do not have water on the courts.

CELL PHONES
Please note that players may NOT use cell phones on court or in the Tournament room. Please turn them OFF. Spectators who use cell phones on the property should be mindful of whether their conversations interfere with tournament play (in which case, they will be asked to leave the area or turn the phone off) or normal business operations of the facility. Thank you for your cooperation.

DRESS CODE
- We ask that all players and spectators wear traditional attire appropriate for a family tennis environment.
- All guests (players and spectators) are required to wear shirts (including ladies wearing shirts over sports bras), and no bare stomachs / abdomens.
- Shorts and skirts should be of an appropriate length, as well.
- Thank you for your cooperation.

PERSONAL VIDEOTAPING
Videotaping by individuals is allowed only for personal use. Videotaping and photography of players other than for those who are related to the person taking the photograph is prohibited.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, April 13, 2008 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
