Tournament Status/Issues/Updates [As of F\Tuesday 6/19 9:30PM]
The consolation draws are a bit hard to read. If you are not sure when your next match time is, please call the tournament desk at (408) 910-2029.
[Friday 6/15 7:42PM] Important: Boys 12 Singles: the second round of the consolation event was moved from Monday to Tuesday to fix a scheduling error. 3rd round was moved to later on the same day (Tuesday). Please check the web for new times.
[Thursday 6/14 10:55PM] The draws and schedules are now posted. Sorry for the delay but I has serious computer problems. Please remember that the tournament reserves the right to modify the schedules for the later days, based on how the tournament progresses early in the week. The phone number now listed as tournament director is only to be used during the tournament to reach the tournament desk. Until then, please use the posted organization phone number.

Extra Warm-up Location: Mango Park (Sunnyvale Middle School Park)

Contacting the Tournament Director or the Referee: Withdraws & Other Issues
1) Please always provide your full name, your USTA # and the name(s) of the event(s) that you are participating in.
2) Until the closing of the registrations, you can withdraw yourself online with your confirmation number.
3) After closing of registration, and until the posting of the draws, please submit any withdrawal in writing by emailing BOTH the TD and the Referee (see email addresses above).
4) After the posting of the draws, please FIRST CALL the TD and then email BOTH the TD and the Referee.

Event Draws Information, Match Formats and Lateness
1) The Singles Events will be Feed In Consolation with a playoff match to determine 3rd and 4th places.
The format will be Best of 3 TB Sets (full 3rd set).
2) The Doubles Events will be Best of 3 TB Sets (full 3rd set), with a playoff match to determine 3rd and 4th places.
3) All events will use regular scoring.
4) When signing up for a doubles event, we strongly recommend that you identify (if you have one) your doubles partner (be sure that this person has entered the tournament) by using this person's USTA #.
5) We reserve the right to adjust the schedules as needed. Please check your next match times a day in advance as you progress through the draws.
6) Be on time for your matches: Check-in at the tournament desk 15 minutes BEFORE your scheduled match times and be ready to play. Penalties for lateness will be enforced.

Tuesday 6/19 10AM to 12PM: Try out the latest HEAD tennis racquets and win prizes. The new MICROGEL RADICAL will be available to test.

College Night Sponsored by USTA NorCal and Santa Clara University
Tuesday 6/19 6PM: Players and parents are invited to participate in the USTA College night at the SCU Sectionals Tuesday June 19 at 6PM at SCU. The discussion will take place in the Team Meeting room in the Leavey Center behind the trophy case in the main lobby. (Park in Lot F) Invited guests include Hilary Somers of USF, George Husack of Santa Clara University, Darryl Lee of UC Davis, Bob Hansen of UC Santa Cruz, Tamara Ramos- Parent of collegiate player and member of USTA NorCal's Junior Council and Chair of Sanction and Schedule committee, Matt Seeberger- 3 Time DIII national champion from UC Santa Cruz, SCU Broncos Myra Davoudi and Brian Brogan. This evening will consist of a round table discussion and Q&A to better educate parents and students of the college recruiting and college playing experience. Email jscalese@scu.edu to register by Friday, June 15 with the names of the attendees. This event is open to all junior sectional participants (12, 14, 16, 18) in NorCal so register ASAP. There is no cost for this event and pizza and drinks will be provided.

18s/12s Doubles Shootout Friday night!
Friday 6/22 5PM: We will be hosting a fun 18s/12s doubles shootout on Friday, June 22 at SCU in collaboration with the 12s Sectionals held at the Sunnyvale Tennis Center. Starting at 5pm, we will have a doubles match-tie break shootout for boys and girls. One 18 and one 12 year old will combine to play doubles, if possible in a round robin match tiebreak format with some exciting prizes, playing to some energetic music over our awesome sounds system. To register, email jscalese@scu.edu. There is no fee for this event. Just come ready to have fun.

Important Registration Information(Deadline Extended: Sunday 6/10 Midnight)
A change in the tournament management software will not anymore allow the tournament staff to access your contact information from the USTA membership database. When registering to the tournament, please make sure to provide that information (phone #s and email address) as we will otherwise be unable to reach you when needed (registration issues, schedule changes, withdraws, weather issue, ...).

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, June 10, 2007 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
