Registration
Check in for the tournament will be 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Saturday, June 21st at the Pelham Racquet Club. There is no mandatory meeting but it's very important for everyone to register on that Saturday. If for some reason you can't, please allow plenty of time before your match time on Sunday to check in and get your packet of information.

Medical Release Information
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of registration. Players are not allowed on the court without this signed release. You may get a copy of the medical release form at the junior tournament homepage on usta.com under Entry forms.

Doubles Play
All players planning to play doubles must sign-up in person at the Pelham Racquet Club during check-in on Saturday, June 21st or by the deadline which is Sunday, June 22nd at 12:00 pm. (Even if you signed up online). Doubles play will beging on Monday following the singles and the scoring format is an 8 game pro set with a 7 point tiebreak at 8 games all.

High Tech Tennis
HIGH-TECH TENNIS (from Atlanta, GA) will be onsite for the entire tournament to offer Match Play DVDs, Match Ananlysis DVDs, College Videos, and more. What an EXCELLENT teaching tool (and a WONDERFUL keepsake too)!!! SEEING IS BELIEVING. Contact Information
Due to changes in the draw or match times, it is imperative for you to add contact information (e-mail & phone) during the online process when asked. So a player doesn't lose out, please help us by offering this information. If you did not add your contact information during registration, you can e-mail this information to tennis@pelhamonline.com at anytime.

Withdrawals
Prior to the deadline June 11th, players have to withdraw online. Go to the Tournament website and click "Edit Registration" on the left side of your screen then "Withdraw". If you do not know your confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw". We cannot withdraw a player, you must do it yourself.
All withdrawals after the deadline must be in writing by e-mail or fax. Do not call to withdraw. The e-mail address is tennis@pelhamonline.com and the fax is (205)-620-4875. You will not receive a refund after the deadline has passed, no matter what the excuse is.

Draw Sizes & Scoring Formats
SINGLES: 128 draw for boy's and girl's divisions. Full feed-in through quarterfinals and playoff matches for 3rd/4th place. Scoring in main draw singles is the best 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets. The consolation draw in singles is the best 2 out of 3, with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set.
DOUBLES: 64 draw for boy's and girl's divisions. Doubles is single elimination and the scoring will be an 8 game pro set with a 10 point match tiebreak at 8 games all. The finals will be the best 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets unless there are time constraints due to weather.

Schedule of Play
Sunday - 2 rounds main draw, 1 round consolation
Monday - 1 round main draw, 2 rounds consolation, 2 rounds doubles
Tuesday - 1 round main draw, 2 rounds consolation, 2 rounds doubles
Wednesday - 1 round main draw, 2 rounds consolation, 1 round doubles
Thursday - 1 round main draw, 2 rounds consolation, 1 round doubles
Friday - 1 round main draw, 1 round consolation
This schedule could change due to inclement weather.

Tournament Ball
The official tournament ball is Wilson US Open Ball.

Hospitality
Lunch will be served Sunday and Monday upstairs at the Pelham Racquet Club for players, coaches, and parents. Lunch is provided for the players, but coaches and parents are $5.

Practice Courts - Pelham Racquet Club
Clay courts will be available to tournament players on Saturday, June 21st for practice. Once the tournament starts, there will be 5 hard courts available. Players may get on the clay courts in the morning before matches start. As the tournament progresses we should have more clay courts become available.

Alternate Practice Courts - Pelham Tennis Center
Pelham Tennis Center has 9 hard courts available for practice. They will be on a first come basis.
DIRECTIONS FROM HOTELS ON HWY 119 - Go West on Hwy 119 to Hwy 31 - Turn left and go approximately 2.5 miles - Look for Go Fourth Homes sign on the right then take right at the electronic city park sign onto Ball Park Road - Take 1st left and courts are on the right. Approximately 5 minutes.

Stringing
There will be an experienced stringer at the Pelham Racquet Club during the tournament. Labor charge if you have your own string is $16.00.

Pro Shop
We do have a fully stocked pro shop at the Pelham Racquet Club. There will be a discount coupon given to all players. We are also a tax free facility.

All hotels listed are in close proximity to each other and to the Pelham Racquet Club. They are located just off Interstate 65 at Exit 246 (Hwy 119 - Cahaba Valley Road) and Pelham Racquet Club is 4 miles down I-65 at Exit 242.

Birmingham International Airport
DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT TO HOTELS: Take ramp (Right) onto I-20/I-59 towards Tuscaloosa/Downtown. At Exit 124A take ramp (Left) onto I-65 South towards Montgomery. Go 21.4 miles to Exit 246 (Hwy 119/Cahaba Valley Road). Turn right and Hotels are along this road. Approximately 25 minutes.
DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT TO PELHAM RACQUET CLUB: Same as above and continue on I-65 South towards Montgomery to Exit 242 (Pelham/Helena). Turn left onto Highway 52. The club is 1/2 mile on left at the 3rd traffic light. Approximately 30 minutes.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, June 5, 2008 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
