THANKS TO EVERYONE!
The tennis coaches at UT-Chattanooga -- Carlos Garcia (men) and Tom Lowry (women) -- as well as the staffs at the Champions Club, Manker Patten Tennis Center and Racquet Club, would like to thank each and every participant, coach, and spectator for their patience and understanding after continual showers chased match play from outside to indoors too many times to recall. Overall, the tournament was still a success and the play was outstanding. Congratulations to all champions and runners-up. And good luck for the remainder of the school seasons.

MOCS' MITTIGA BEST IN "B"
Tim Mittiga, a new face on the UT-Chattanooga men's tennis team, proved the best in B Singles by defeating Kruno Despotovski of Alabama-Birmingham in the title match, 6-4, 6-2. Mittiga, a sophomore transfer from Australia, dropped but one set in five matches over the weekend event.

INDOORS (AGAIN!!!) FOR SUNDAY
Showers overnight and into the morning forced play in the 2006 UTC/Baras Collegiate Fall Classic to indoor courts at Manker Patten and the Racquet Club.
|
BLAH!!! MORE RAIN FOR SATURDAY
Since the rain hit earlier than expected, the schedule had to be altered. Two rounds of singles were finished on Friday, but no doiubles were played. For Saturday, two rounds of pro-set doubles will kick off the day (men at UTC and Manker Patten and the women at the Racquet Club), followed by the main-draw quarterfinals and then another round of doubles (quarterfinals). All consolation singles matches have been cancelled.
