FREEDOM FIELDS USA IS THE CVAC CHARITY BENEFITTING FROM TOURNAMENT PROCEEDS
Freedom Fields USA is the benefitting charity picked for the CVAC tournament. There will be a raffle on Saturday, March 24 and 31st running most of the day. There will also be merchandise for sale to help the cause. Freedom Fields USA, is a non-profit oganization that removes abandoned landmines in war torn countries. HOTELS
The Bay Park Hotel has offered some tournament players rates for their rooms during our tournament dates. When calling please identify yourself with the CVAC Tournament.

DRAWS
Draws will be posted on Wednesday. Please make sure you are entered in the correct event. If you are entered in 2 or more events please check all your times as there are several round robin events. Players are responsible for checking all their times and being ready to play when scheduled. If you are in the wrong event, you must contact me immediately at corytennis@aol.com.
Draws of 4 players will play a regular draw starting in the semis. Semifinal losers will play a 3rd and 4th playoff match to get another match in all NTRP draws. Draws of 3 will play a round robin.
Trophies will be given for 1st and 2nd place only.
There will be a $10 box lunch special available to the players at the CVAC restaurant.

CANCELLED EVENTS DUE TO LACK OF ENTRIES
The following events are cancelled due to lack of entries. If you see your name with out a partner in the doubles competitor list please e-mail Brian Cory at corytennis@aol.com and let me know your partners name and usta # if possible. All draws will be posted by wed am the latest.
Cancelled events = mens 3.0 and 4.0 doubles, mixed open, 3.0, 4.5 doubles, womens 3.0 and 4.5 singles, womens 3.0, 4.0, 4.5 and open doubles.

TOURNAMENT DATES
All matches will start on Saturday, March 24th. THERE WILL BE NO PLAY ON FRIDAY THE 23RD AND ONLY FRIDAY THE 30TH IF THERE IS RAIN. We will try to play the entire NTRP and Womens Open tournament on the 24th and 25th due to USTA League issues.

Check the competitor list to make sure you are entered in the correct event. If you are in the wrong event, e-mail Brian Cory at corytennis@aol.com asap to get it corrected. Please enter your phone # and e-mail when you register so that the tournament can contact you if needed.

DIRECTIONS TO CVAC and PRACTICE COURTS
Go hiway 101 south to hiway 156 west {monterey peninsula}, this turns into hiway 1 south to carmel. take a left on carmel valley road. take a right on rancho san carlos road. go over bridge and thru stop sign and take a left when you see the CVAC sign. WE HAVE A $10 BOX LUNCH SPECIAL AVAILABLE FOR THE PLAYERS AT OUR CLUB RESTAURANT. Practice/warm up courts will be available on a first come first serve basis at Carmel High School located off of Hiway 1 after Ocean Ave on you left or Carmel Middle School located on Carmel Valley Road as you are coming to the club. Turn right on Carmel Middle light and courts are viewable from the road.

WITHDRAWALS
If you need to w/draw before the draws are posted please go to edit registration and hit withdrawal and follow prompts to withdraw. If you are withdrawing 7 days prior to the tournament start date or when the draws are posted, you are not entitled to a refund.

RAIN
In case of rain. Call 831-624-2737 then # 6 then # 1 to get to Brian Cory's voicemail. I will have updated court and match info on the message machine. I will try to play all NTRP and Womens Open matches on the first weekend if weather permits. The normal pattern of rain in our area is rarely all day, so tournament won't be cancelled before 3pm on any day.

Tournament desk at Carmel Valley Athletic Club. Entry fee is
$37.00 for singles and $20 per player for doubles. This will be a
block seeded event for singles and doubles in the Open Division.
The main draw will be played on Sat and Sun March 31st and April
1st, with singles starting in the round of 16 and doubles starting
in the quarters. Open Qualifying will begin on Saturday March 24th.
For the NTRP Divisions = play will begin on Saturday, March 24th.
We will try to play as much of the tournament as possible the first
weekend. Players may enter 2 events max whether it be 2 singles or
2 doubles events or 1 singles and 1 doubles. NTRP players may enter
Open division also {3rd event}. FRIDAY THE 30TH WILL ONLY BE USED
IF THE FIRST WEEKEND GETS RAINED OUT. Pre- tournament questions?

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, March 18, 2007 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
