UPDATE - NEW WAIVER GUIDELINES
WAIVER GUIDELINES AS OF 4/25/06 *** Players can request a waiver from the Area Qualifier under the following guidelines: 1. Player must enter a National Open (May 20-24) or a level 2 or 3 national event in May 2. The confirmation number must be submitted to the Area Qualifier tournament director no later than 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 29 3. The player must be accepted into the main draw of the National Open or level 2 or 3 event ... players on the alternate list will not qualify for a waiver 4. The National Open or level 2 or 3 event that a player would be playing in must conflict with the dates of the area qualifier event for which the waiver is being requested. In other words, players playing in a National Open can request a waiver from the G12, G14, G16, or B14 because the dates of these events overlap the dates of the National Open. Because the dates of the G18, B12, B16, or B18 area qualifier do not conflict with the National Open, waivers will not be granted to players in those age groups who wish to play in a National Open. 5. Waiver requests must be sent to Jim Hendrix at jnh@ix.netcom.com by 12pm, Saturday, April 29. A return e-mail will be sent to confirm whether or not the waiver has been accepted. 6. PLAYERS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR REGISTERING FOR THE AREA QUALIFIER BY THE ENTRY DEADLINE ... NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. If your waiver is confirmed as accepted before the area qualifier entry deadline, there is no need to register for the area qualifier. If the waiver status is in doubt, apply for the area qualifier by the entry deadline ... you can withdraw (without penalty) if the waiver is accepted after the area qualifier entry deadline.
