PLEASE READ THIS!
Welcome to the FDT Open! This tourney was originally scheduled to be a Challenger, but has now been designated an Open for players from Santa Clara County. This tournament is sanctioned for 3 days, Monday thru Wednesday and will be held at Willow Glen HS. If you haven't played a tourney lately, there have been important safety measures implemented, so please familiarize yourself with this page. I'll summarize some of the key items;
- Every player must turn in a signed USTA Waiver (above) to play! You will not be allowed on court without us having this form on record. You must print it, sign and bring it to the Tournament Desk when you check-in. - Only 1 spectator per player, please! - Facial coverings/masks are required at all times in common areas. Players may remove mask when they enter the court. - Before you check-in you must be temperature screened. If your temp is above 100.4 F, you will not be allowed to play. Please report to the Temperature station before check-in. If you plan on watching on-site, you will need to get your temp checked too. - If you are sick or feel ill - do not play or come to the tourney site! -All players will be given their own can of balls at check-in. One can will have a dot on the ball for easy identification. These are your balls and you must take them and the can with you when you leave. Do not leave them on the court! Thank you -Please do not linger at the tournament site or tournament desk and practice social distancing at all times! This includes those watching from the sidelines. -On-court benches have been removed - bring your own seat to place on court if desired. -No water or ice will be provided -Portable restrooms and wash basins will be used at WGHS. The MS will have access to Wallenberg Park's restrooms. Restrooms are only for players, staff and tennis spectators.
Please check-in approx 10 minutes before your start time and leave promptly when your match is concluded. The draws will not be posted as we want to minimize congregation! Remember, in all issues regarding start times, we defer to the on-line times.
