COVID 19 TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES
We will be
following the State of Illinois guidelines along with
these additional specifications:

Participants
will be limited to 16 per age division in order to keep players and staff as
safe as possible- Each player will be given 2 balls to be hand-marked or sorted by tournament staff. - Players/spectator should arrive no more than 10 minutes before scheduled match times; and leave immediately after scores are reported. - To minimize the size of group gatherings, ONLY Player and 1 Spectator (coach or parent) will be allowed on site; additional spectators can wait in parked vehicles but will not be allowed courtside. - Hand sanitizer will be available on each court by the net post and at the tournament desk; sanitizing wipes will be used on high touch areas like door handles. - Players and spectators should bring their own cooler or lawn chairs to sit on as benches/bleachers may not be available. - Players must bring their own water bottles/containers; water may not be available. - Tournament staff will enforce 6-foot social distancing for all spectators and each spectator must stay at least 6-feet from the fence at all times. - Players must wear masks when approaching the tournament desk and at all times until they reach their match court. - Spectators must wear masks at all times while at the tournament site, except for when watching their player and/or 6-feet from any other spectator; masks must be worn at all times if the event moves indoors. · No player who has been in a state that is on the Cook County Travel
Quarantine list within 14 days of the event will be accepted

No
players who have tested positive for Covid within 14 days of the event or been
in close contact with another person who has tested positive will be accepted - Failure to comply with the COVID-19 Tournament Procedures, by the player or spectator, will result in disqualification of the player

DRAW SIZE and PLAYER SELECTION
Draws are limited
to 16 participants.
No player who has been in a state that is on the Cook
County Quarantine list within 14 days of the event will be accepted.
Additionally, no player who has tested positive for Covid within 14 days of the
event or been in close contact with another person who has tested positive will

FIRST MATCH TIMES
Draws will be posted by Friday by 12pm. Please check your start time as well as weekend schedule by viewing the draws.

SCHEDULE OF PLAY
Tentative schedule is as follows: Saturday matches will not start before 12PM and Sunday will start as early as 8am. We may need to adjust these times (earlier/later) based on the number of entries. If you are not available within the tentative time frame above, please do not sign up.

Chicago Emergency Travel Order
Travelers from the following states and territories should quarantine upon arrival in Chicago: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The list will be updated every Tuesday and go into effect the following Friday at 12:01 a.m.
For Wisconsin and Indiana, the Order applies to individuals coming from Wisconsin or Indiana to Chicago for non-work purposes and Chicago residents returning from Wisconsin or Indiana, unless they are deemed an essential worker. Exceptions to the Order for personal travel will be permitted for travel for medical care and parental shared custody. Individuals who travel to Wisconsin or Indiana, even if for less than 24 hours, still need to quarantine upon returning unless deemed an essential worker or are a student who commutes for school. Review the FAQs below for specific information on exceptions. Chicago residents are strongly advised to not travel to these states.

MATCH FORMAT:
Best of three short sets. GAME FORMAT:
First to 4 games wins the set. SCORING FORMAT:
No-ad scoring will be used. At 3 points all, next point wins the game. The
receiver chooses which side the point is played. TIEBREAKER AT 3 GAMES ALL:
Tiebreaker:
• First to 5 points.
• 2 points serving each (starting deuce side).
• Change ends once only after 4 points.
• If Tiebreaker reaches 4 – 4 it’s “next point wins” the set.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, October 21, 2020 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
