Thank you for playing in the first Rio del Oro Super Series!
The tournament is a wrap. We hope that all of the players had great matches and lots of fun. Two sportsmanship awards were awarded to the players who happened to play in the last match of the tournament. The two boys played a three-set match with great sportsmanship and respect for each other. All of us who were still there enjoyed the match to the end. B18s - flight C - final match between Michael Gravel and Emon Van Loben Sels. We want to thank everyone for playing.

Practice Courts and Availability
Please note that the club open at 5 AM on the weekends. All courts should be available for warm-up before first matches that are scheduled for 8 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. Once matches start, the five courts by the pools (12-16) will be available for warm-up unless being used for a tournament match. These courts must be shared so that all players who wish to warm-up can. . . so four players to a court if needed. Please be respectful of one another - if there is an issue, please come and get an official or Todd. Matches will be held on courts 1-11 (in the front by the tennis office) and then on the 8 courts across the street (17-24). These courts are for matches and should not be used to warm-up during the tournament playing times.

Rules of Play: We applaud and expect good sportsmanship from all participants, including coaches and spectators. We are governed by the Code which dictates that benefit of line calls should always be in favor of the opponent when there is doubt. In a USTA NorCal Junior Tournament, a code violation under the Point Penalty System will be assessed for unsportsmanlike conduct when a player is overruled for the third time during the tournament, and for each time the player is overruled thereafter during the tournament. We operate under the NorCal Zero Tolerance Policy for behavior. Players should be familiar with the Point Penalty System and the USTA Junior Suspension Point System (SPS). Spectators should be aware that unsportsmanlike behavior by a spectator could result in dismissal from the site and possible assessment of penalties to your player.
Lateness penalties will be enforced. Players are expected to check and comply with all scheduling done by the Tournament Committee. A player is deemed to have arrived when the player checks in at the place designated for checking in and is properly clothed, equipped, and ready to play. The lateness penalty clock starts at the scheduled match time regardless of court availability.
Appropriate tennis attire, including non-marking shoes, is required for all matches. Clothing not considered proper tennis attire can include, but not be limited to: • Sports bras worn alone (without a shirt). • Shirts with references to sex, drugs, alcohol or tobacco. • Compression shorts worn alone (not covered by shorts or a skirt).
Avoidances: in fairness to all players and to the tournament, avoidance requests cannot be specifically honored.
Please apply on time. Late requests to play may not be honored.
