Welcome to the JRRC Ranch Round-Up!
Welcome to the JRRC Round-Up! Come
and Play - have fun, stay for the barbecue and party on Saturday evening! Food
and adult beverages will be provided. All tournament players will receive a
T-shirt for participating, and an entry into the barbecue.
This tournament will be held over three days -
July 19-21, 2019 (Friday through Sunday). This tournament has TOY designation
for 3.5 and 4.5 NTRP divisions. For these divisions only, players will
earn 1-1/2 times the standard number of points per round. In addition, in these
divisions only, a 3/4 playoff will be held for additional points for
those players.
NTRP Players are limited to two events only
which must be played at the SAME NTRP level - one singles and one doubles, or a
mixed and same-gender doubles. Format for the NTRP players will be the best of
three sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of the third set. NTRP draw limits are
32 players for singles and 16 teams for doubles. Please note that ALL events
may have Friday evening play REGARDLESS OF DRAW SIZE. Remember if the draw size
exceeds the limit, the tournament reserves the right to select 25% of the draw,
another 25% will be selected by ranking, and the remaining 50% will be randomly
drawn into the events. Please be
aware that play may go very late on any evening.
Prize money for the Open Division will be a
minimum of $5,000. Open players are limited to any two events. The Open Division will be limited to 64 singles players and
32 doubles teams. If this limit is exceeded, the tournament reserves the right
to select 25% of the entrants and for the Open Division, NorCal will do selections based on UTRs. Play will start at
1 PM or later on Friday afternoon for singles. All singles players MUST be able
to play on Friday afternoon if they enter this division. Any other OPEN event
may also start on Friday evening regardless of the size of the draw. Play may
go very late on Friday. The format for all OPEN events is the best of three
tiebreak sets.
Please remember that it is July and it might be
very hot! Expect play on Saturday and Sunday to start at 8 AM. Players should
expect to play two matches per day per event entered. Sometimes the scheduling
is not kind, and playing four times in a day can happen for NTRP players.
Singles tends to play earlier in the day, doubles later - but please note that
this is not a guarantee.
PLEASE ENTER ON TIME! Late entrants may not be
able to be accommodated. Avoidance requests are not encouraged, and they will
be honored only if they do not affect the scheduling for others in the event.
What scheduling may help you, may truly not accommodate others.
Please also note that ANY withdrawal in the
adult tournaments is subject to two suspension points issued by NorCal.
Hotel information is pending and will posted
when available.

Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race and the concurrent tournaments will not count toward the minimum tournament requirement to qualify for Grand Prix.
