Welcome
We're excited to have you join us for our second RMTC Series Open tournament of the season. Get ready for a lot of tennis over two days! All players must checkin at CU South Tennis Complex. This is an outdoor tournament, weather-permitting.

Tournament Format
All draws will utilize Compass Draws or Round Robin pool formats that lead to non-elimination playoff advancement for all players regardless of results where there are 6 players or more. We plan to complete all round robin play on Saturday throughout the day and then, for larger draws, playoffs will be played Sunday morning. All players should plan to be available for matches throughout the day on Saturday, as well as playoff matches for larger draws on Sunday morning as scheduled.
All doubles draws will be played Sunday following the conclusion of all singles playoffs and will provide at least 2 matches per team for events of 3 teams or more!
The purpose of this format is to provide players with an equal amount of competitive experiences to help promote their player development.

Scoring Format
Players (and parents!) should be ready for a ton of tennis this weekend! All age groups where there are 6 players are more will play 4 or 5 singles matches. Because we have so many matches to complete, the scoring format will be 2 fast four sets (sets to 4 games win by two) and a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set for all matches of round robin groups of 4 players (3 matches.) Matches of round robin group of 3 players (2 matches) will be 2 sets to 6 games (win by two) and a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set. To keep the tournament running smoothly, all matches will be no-ad scoring. Because we only have 2 players in girls 18s, that will be a 3 out of 5 set match, no ad scoring! The tournament format for all events will be round robin groups + playoffs for all players. This means that regardless of the outcome of matches, each player will play each of the other players in their round robin group of which matches will complete on Saturday. Based on the order of finish in round robin, each player will advance on Sunday to a playoff against players from the other round robin groups who finish round robin play at the same order of finish. (i.e. 1st place in round robin will playoff against each of the other first place finishers in Platinum playoffs. 3rd place finishers in round robin will playoff against each other in Silver playoffs. Etc.)

Draws will be posted Friday, August 23rd!
Draws will be posted Friday morning by 8am. All Saturday round robin draws will be posted at that time. The schedule for Sunday singles playoffs will be posted later, but those events will not be populated with player names until Saturday evening when the play for the day has been completed.
