IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR
Thank you players and parents for a good day of matches. Please review the draw to confirm you match times for Sunday. All players will play TWO matches on Sunday, 4/29 regardless of the results from the previous day matches. Warm-up courts available starting at 8AM. Please check-in for your matches 15 minutes prior to the match time. For 9AM matches, we will start play as soon as a player and their opponent checks in.

RACQUET LENGTH, COURT AND BALL INFORMATION
Players must use a 23-25" racquet for the Orange Ball event. Matches in Orange will be played with the Orange Dot Ball on a 60' Court. Matches in Green will be played with the Green Dot Ball on a 78' Court.
Please note that the tournament director will ask you to change your racquet if you bring a racquet that exceeds 25" for Orange Ball (i.e. 26", 27" <27").

Fremont Tennis Center, 110 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538 Please allow time to find parking as the athletic complex hosts multiple events.

WARM UP COURTS
Nine tournament courts available from 8:30- 9AM on each day for player warm-up. We encourage you to bring your own warm-up balls. Please check -in wtih facility office before using any non-tournament courts.

CHECK-IN
We ask that you check in for each match no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of your match. Make sure that you are ready to play when you check-in! Please fill water jugs and use the restroom prior to checking in.

SCORING, DRAW AND MATCH FORMAT
MATCH FORMATS:
* All Green Ball Matches: Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets, regular scoring
(play out the deuce points). A 7-point tiebreak is played in lieu of the 3rd
set. A set is defined as the first player to win 6 games by a margin of two
games. A 7-Point Tiebreak shall be played at 6 games all. * All Orange Ball Matches: Best
of 3 Tiebreak Sets, regular scoring (play out the deuce points). A 7-Point
Tiebreak played in lieu of the 3rd set. A short set whereby the first
player to win 4 games wins the set, provided there is a margin of 2. If
the score reaches 4 games all, a 7-Point Tiebreak shall be played.
A 16-player Compass Draw will be used for Singles. A modified round robin used for draws with less than 16 players.
Please note: There will be matches on BOTH days of this tournament. Due to the Compass Draw format, schedule requests CANNOT be accommodated.

SHIRTS & GIFT BAGS
All participants will receive a commemorative Sectionals shirt and gift bag at check-in. NOTE: Some shirt sizes may have limited quanities.

AWARDS
All players will receive a participation medal on the final day. Special awards for top finishers in each division - 1st through 4th place.

LIMITED DRAW SIZES
Draws will be limited to 16 Singles players. Please note that there are separate draws for Boys and Girls in this tournament - this means 16 Boys and 16 Girls are selected for each level.

SELECTION PROCESS
Players will be selected based on match play history (number of matches won).
|
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, April 22, 2018 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
