Best 2 out of 3 sets. All playoffs and consolation scoring formats will be 2 out of 3 sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
|
Format
Curtis Consolation-MFIC for Level 2 Tournaments. The purpose is for players to play in more matches. This is the best option to optimize the players' competition. L2's are doing this because it is a 3 day event. The Curtis Draw allows players to play 2 matches when they lose in the Round of 16 and do not have to wait on consolation to catch up. This will result in more points for players who reach the Curtis Draw because they lost deeper in the main draw. This changes the Main Draw from FIC-R16 to MFIC (Modified Feed-In Consolation, where only 2 rounds of losers get automatically placed in the consolation). The Curtis Draw is a manual procedure outlined below. Main Draw Finishes. MFIC (regular consolation) ends at Finals; Curtis Draw ends at Finals, only 2 matches are left unplayed.
