REGISTRATION for Birmingham
Mandatory check-in for the tournament will be on Friday, July 20th, from 10 AM to 6:00 PM (CST) at Player's Choice Tennis, 1074 Montgomery Hwy,Birmingham, AL 35216, 205-985-4989. Also, if you are absolutely unable to make the Friday check-in, you must check-in at your given site an hour before your 1st round match.If you checked in on Friday, report directly to your site 30 minutes prior to your match time on Saturday.Please have the Medical Release Form filled out and signed by a parent/guardian with you at check-in.

SCHEDULE OF PLAY
Friday: Check-in. Saturday: 2 rounds of Main Draw Singles and one round of feed-in consolations, followed by Doubles. Sunday: 2 rounds of feed-in consolations and 2 rounds of Main Draw Singles, followed by Doubles. Monday: All draws finish on Monday.

SELECTION PROCESS
USTA Southern will provide selection list. Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list in the age in which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age division standings.

FORMAT & SCORING
Main Draw scoring for G18s will be the best 2 out of 3 sets. All Playoffs and Consolation scoring formats will be 2 out 3 sets with a match tiebreaker in lieu of the third set. Doubles will consist of a 32/single elimination draw. A 6 game set with add scoring. A 3/4 playoff for Singles & Doubles.

SEEDING
Seeding shall follow the USTA Southern Section seeding regulations and will be provided by Southern with the selection list.

SIGNING UP for more than 1 DIVISION
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Level 1A, 2 and 3 tournaments with these guidelines:#1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division.#2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternate lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division.#3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made without approval from the USTA Southern office.

ALTERNATES
The alternate list will be updated daily. It's listed above - "Alternate by Event". If you plan to enter another tournament, you have to first e-mail me at jstennis@charter.net to take your name off the alternate list.

ON SITE ALTERNATES
"On Site" Alternates must register at their age group's tournament site. You can inform the Tournament Referee on Friday afternoon that you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact information for you to be reached during the weekend. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the first match on Saturday morning.
