Gold Cup Tournament
This is a Gold Cup Tournament - 2x the Grand Prix Points. There are matches for the 3rd/4th place finishers in all divisions. These matches are best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point Match Tiebreak.

Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race and the concurrent tournaments will not count toward the minimum tournament requirement to qualify for Grand Prix.

This tournament implements the USTA Norcal ZERO TOLERANCE policy for unsportsmanlike conduct by players. Players must adhere to the oath that reads
I recognize that tennis is a sport that places the responsibility for fair play on me. I promise to abide by the rules of the game, which require me to give the benefit of the doubt to my opponent. At all times I shall strive to compete with the true spirit of sportsmanship, recognizing that my behavior on the court is a direct reflection of my character. Whether my matches end with my victory or defeat, I promise to conduct myself in a way that honors my opponents, those who support me, and the game of tennis

Entry Information (PLEASE NOTE THIS )
In order to reduce scheduling conflicts, players are limited to a maximum of one singles and one doubles event at the same level. This means that you may enter one singles event and one doubles event ( Mens/Womens or Mixed).
THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
All matches up to and including the quarterfinals are best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point Match Tiebreak in lieu of a full third set. Semi-finals and finals are 3 full sets. This applies to all events, singles and doubles

Doubles Entries - Both players must register and pay
When registering for doubles, it is important that both players register online and pay. Verify that both players' names are listed on the applicants list. If both players have not registered and paid by the tournament deadline, you may not be accepted into the tournament.
|
Draws
Draws are limited to 16 teams (doubles) or 16 players (singles) so that all divisions can be completed in one weekend. If court time is available, singles draws will be expanded (in recent years we have been able to accommodate 24 or more players in some of the singles draws). Friday matches may start as early as 4pm (depends on the size of the draws) at Cuesta Tennis Center. Friday matches are primarily Mens singles matches (all levels). However, some other matches (singles and doubles) may be scheduled on Friday in order to resolve conflicts for players in multiple divisions.

Right of Refusal
per Rule 13 of the USTA Northern California Adult Tournament Rules The Tournament Committee reserves the right to decline any entry either before or after the draws have been published. Some draws may be limited.
