Notes
Update as of 6/15/2018 at 12:45 AM: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING
NOTES AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE
TOURNAMENT. For the BG10&Under Orange Ball tournament,
please arrive at the Naperville Tennis Club, 1011 East Benton Ave,
Naperville, IL 60540 prior to the 5:00 pm start time so that you
can check in, use the restroom, etc. so that your kids are ready to
go on-court by 5:00 pm. This will be a round robin tournament with
timed matches, so all players should plan on starting at 5:00
pm.
For the BG10&U Green Dot and BG 12-18s, based on the "excessive
heat watch" for the Chicagoland area this weekend, and due to the
record number of players signed up for this weekend's tournament,
we are modifying the scoring method of our tournament to no-ad
scoring for both the front and back draws (rather than regular
scoring). We hope this will help to prevent extremely long games
and time on the court for players, many of whom will be playing
multiple matches throughout the day. Also, some of the backdraws
may not be played to completion. This tournament will start on
Saturday and continue into Sunday morning through early afternoon
(with the exception of the B18s, which will be completed on
Saturday).
The draws are posted so please check for your match times. All of
the times for the front draws are posted. Some of the match times
for the back draws are not posted as we need to wait for the
completion of certain front draw matches on Saturday afternoon to
determine possible match times on Sunday for some of the back
draws, and to determine if we are able to play an additional round
in the back draw (or not) for certain divisions. Additionally, in
the back draw there are certain matches which have the same match
time/date as a match in the preceding round (e.g., a QF match and a
SF match may both have a match time of Saturday at 6:45 pm listed).
In this situation we are reserving these times for these matches
and we are waiting for the outcome of certain earlier front draw
matches to determine which of these rounds would be played.
Based on the "excessive heat watch", PLAYERS, PARENTS AND
SPECTATORS are encouraged to bring lots of water, juice, etc.,
along with sunscreen, hats and other items as necessary. While
there are bleacher seats by the tennis courts at Knoch Park, we
would encourage you to bring any comfortable chairs you might have
(e.g., camping chairs) and you are also welcome to bring items to
keep you shaded (e.g,. umbrella, camping canopies, shade tent,
etc.). While there is only a port-a-potty at the tennis courts,
there is a Shell gas station (and other businesses) located about
1/2 mile from the tennis courts, which you can use and also stock
up on cool beverages, ice, etc.
For those of you not familiar with Knoch Park, please use GPS to
find the general location before you drive to the courts. The
tennis courts are located right across the street from Naperville
Central High School (you can also GPS the high school as well).
Please be advised that if you use the "USTA Mobile App" on your
phone, DO NOT USE THE MAP LOCATION FEATURE in the app as this will
direct you to the Naperville Tennis Club, which is located 3-4
miles away from Knoch Park.
If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact the
Tournament Director, Steve Haas, at 630-660-1943.
The 10 Orange event will be held indoors at NTC on Saturday. This
round robin one-day event will play from 5:00 p.m. to approx

winners playing off for 1st and 2nd place.
For the 11 up and 10 Green this is an outdoor tournament at Knoch
Park Tennis Courts with Naperville Tennis Club as the rain day
indoor back site. Matches will happen rain or shine! Matches will
begin on Saturday and continue into Sunday (based on the number of
players registered for all of the divisions).

busy streets are West and Hillside, you may use the Naperville
Central High School parking lot. The closest parking to the tennis

first match so that you find us on time.

something that circles back and then few people sign up until the
last minute. If you are free and want to play...sign up. Other
"waiting" people will see names and then sign up too and
Tah-Dah...we have a nice draw with healthy competition for
all!

minute due to injury, illness, or a family emergency you might make
a trip to the tournament and not need to if we had a way of
reaching you. You must indicate all phone numbers, home and cell (a
MUST), email addresses and more for each USTA tournament
registration, EACH and EVERY time, for each and every tournament
you enter, even if you have played a tournament with Naperville
before.

Please call/email Naperville Tennis Club (630)355-5600 or
