needs to be approved by Tournament Director by email/text.

Tournament Format:
*Time for warm-up, & between points, games, sets:
5 minutes warm-up, including serve
2 minutes break between 1 & 2 set
3 minutes break between 2 & 3 set (coaching allowed)
20s b/w points, 90s to change End b/w games
*For 10 & under:
*10 ORANGE challenger or open: 60'court (court #5-12 at LP)/play 3
short sets (to 4) with ORANGE BALLS.
*10 GREEN OPEN: 78' court/play 3 short sets (to 4) with GREEN DOT
BALLS.
*For 10 & under double division: play 3 short sets (to 4) with
GREEN DOT BALLS.
*For all 12, 14, 16, 18 divisions: Best of 3 sets with a Super 10
point tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set. (Record scores as 7-6 (5), 6-7
(3), 1-0 (10-5))
*1rst & 2nd set Tiebreak: play first to 7 points tiebreak, win
by 2. The first person (team) serves 1 point (start on DEUCE), then
the other will serve 2 points (start on ADD), then switch serve and
the first person (team) will serve another 2 points and so on.
Change End every 6 points (like 6-0, 5-1, 4-2, 3-3). First one gets
to 7 points, win by 2.
*3rd set tiebreak: same rule as a regular 7 point tiebreak. The
first person (team) serves 1 point, then the other will serve 2
points, then the first person (team) will serve another 2 points
and so on. Change End every 6 points (like 6-0, 5-1, 4-2, 3-3).
First one gets to 10 points, win by 2.
***If the players have any problems on court (line calls, argument,
coaching…), they could notify the desk immediately. We will then
try to address the issue.

12's Open Green Division. This Division may be played by any 12's
Division player who is seeking more Green Dot ball match play. 10's
Division players who have qualified for Green Dot balls in the 10's
Division may also play up into this division. Matches will be
played on 78' (full size) courts with green low compression balls.
10's Division players playing up into this division will not
receive 10's Progression Points.
CHALLENGER DEFINITION: A Challenger is a novice player who has not
won an open tournament. A junior may continue to participate in
challenger events, in their age appropriate division, until they
have won no more than (2) Challenger Tournaments. After two (2)
Challenger Tournament wins, a junior is no longer eligible for a
Challenger event until they age up. A player may NOT play out of
his/her age division in a Challenger event until the month in which
the junior ages up.
FORMAT FOR 12'S CHALLENGER DIVISIONS: 12's Challenger Divisions
will be played on 78' (full size) courts with green low compression
balls.
FORMAT FOR 10'S CHALLENGER DIVISIONS: 10's Challenger Divisions
will be played on 60' courts with orange low compression balls.
10's matches will be best of 3 short sets (first to 4 games ahead
by 2), If the score reaches 4-4 in games, a 7 point tiebreak will
be played to determine the winner of the set. Matches will be no-ad
scoring.
FORMAT FOR 10'S OPEN DIVISIONS: 10's Orange Open Divisions will be
played on 60' courts with orange low compression balls. 10's Green
Open Divisions will be played on 78' (full size) courts with green
low compression balls. 10's matches will be best of 3 short sets
(first to 4 games ahead by 2), if the score reaches 4-4 a 7 point
tiebreak will be played to determine the winner of the set. Matches
will be no-ad scoring.
Challenger and Futures Events do NOT count toward
advancement into Open Green play.
Players may choose to continue to play Open Orange until the month
that they turn 11.
