Saturday 9:30 PM Update
Thank you for your patience with all the weather delays today--we know it has not been fun! The Ace Tennis Services team has rescheduled the entire yellow ball Main Draw tournament--approximately 400 matches. The draws are updated and we are ready to play some tennis tomorrow! Don't forget that one deserving player will be awarded the "Sportsmanship" Award for the tourney and will win a free week at John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, TX. If you have any nominations, please let your site director know. Any questions--email Tournament Director Sally Frame at sally10s@me.com. Sweet dreams and see you tomorrow!

Saturday 6:15 PM Tournament Update--Additional Info About Sunday Play
Sites for Sunday will be Allen High School, Lebanon Trail High School, and Lakes Tennis Academy. We are updating the draws and will have your new site and match time posted by 9:00 PM this evening. Redoing all the draws and start times is a huge task, so please bear with us--we are going as fast as we can. The consolation event has been cancelled due to the rain delays. Main Draw format will be short sets--start at 0-0, no-ad scoring, first to 4 games with a 7 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set. 30 minute rest time between matches. Please note that due to a plumbing disaster there will be no restrooms or water at Allen High School. Ditto for Lebanon Trail High School. So please bring water to your matches and at any point (including during a match) if you need to go to the restroom you'll need to hop in your car and scoot over to Kroger or a local business near the courts. The USTA is well aware of the restroom situation and although it is not ideal, we agree that it's important to try to get as many matches played as possible on Sunday. Look for another update this evening after 9:00 PM.
|
Further Clarification About Sunday's Play
The yellow ball tournament will start and end tomorrow--Sunday. There will be no Monday play. We'll have additional details for you after 8:00 PM tonight--as you can imagine it's quite a complicated project to reschedule the entire tournament.
|
2:25 PM Tournament Update
Due to wet courts and poor drying conditions, all Saturday matches for the 12's-18's yellow ball tournament have been cancelled for today per the USTA Texas Section. This tournament is a 2-day event and we will start with first round matches Sunday morning at Lakes Tennis Academy and Allen High School. Please check the website after 8:00 PM this evening for updated draws, sites and match times. If you are unable to play tomorrow for any reason please withdraw by emailing sally10s@me.com so your opponent can be notified. Thanks for your patience and understanding with all the weather issues today.
|
2:00 PM Tournament Update
The 2:00 PM update will be delayed as we are waiting for the USTA to decide on the game plan for today. Our sincere apologies.
|
Saturday 11:00 AM Tournament Update
It's pouring and the courts are wet. Thanks for your patience today
with the weather issues. The USTA Texas Section has requested that we
wait until 2:00 PM for our next update. Enjoy your day and we'll be
back in touch at 2:00 PM.
|
Saturday 8:00 AM Update
Looks like the Challenger tournament is going to be a bit "Challenging" today...it's still raining and the courts are obviously soaked. We'll update again at 11 AM and there is no chance of any tournament play before 12 noon today.
|
Saturday 5:30 AM Update
Good Morning! The courts are wet and drying conditions are not good, so no matches will start before 9 AM. Please check back at 8 AM for a tournament update. Thank you in advance for your patience with today's weather and the inevitable tournament delays--we've been working on this tournament for a year and weather is the one thing that is out of our control.

Important Weather Note--Saturday 6:30 AM Update
The Ace Tennis Services team is ready to run a fantastic tournament for you this weekend. 500 junior tennis players will be competing at 9 sites...and we have an All Star team of excellent site directors, volunteer parents, and plenty of USTA officials ready to go! We are excited about hosting the tournament for all of you parents, players and coaches! There is a strong possibility of some rain this weekend and of course that's the one thing we can't control, so please understand that we will do our very best to play all matches scheduled. The Ace Tennis Services team will be up early on Saturday morning checking the condition of all courts and we'll have a weather update posted on this tournament homepage at 6:30 AM. So...there's no need to call, email or text us today asking about the weather--please check the website Saturday at 6:30 AM for an update.
