Player Eligibility
Players can compete in both the Level 3 Super Champ January 13-16 and the Doubles Excellence on January 27-28. Players who were Super Champs as of January 1 can register as individual players. Any player who is not a Super Champ eligible player as of January 1 can play in this tournament as long as they properly partner with a Super Champ eligible player prior to the deadline. Players who qualified for Super Champs in January are only eligible for this tournament if they partner with a player who was a Super Champ as of January 1.

Doubles Registration
The Doubles Registration process will remain the same for 2018 Super Champ Designated Tournaments. Players may register with or without a partner. Those who register with a partner must indicate their partner through the online registration system before the entry deadline. Players will need to correctly identify their doubles partner during their initial registration process or they may go back later, prior to the entry deadline, and “Edit Registration” to indicate their partner of choice. Correct doubles registration is the player’s responsibility. Immediately after registration, players need to check the Applicant List to ensure they are registered with their partner of choice (and their partner is also registered with them).

2018 Doubles Excellence Notes
In each age group there will be an A draw and multiple B draws as needed. There will also be a C draw. The A draw will be the top 16 teams. The B draws will consist of all other teams, equally split into draws of 16 (maximum). The C draw will consist of the overflow teams from the B draws and will have a minimum of 4 teams. A and B draws will be compass draws. The C draw will be a round robin or a compass draw depending on the number of teams. All matches will play best of 3 sets with a full third set. All draws will be adjusted up until the first match begins as long as a match needs to be created. If a match needs to be created, then adjustments will be made up until the previous Thursday at 6:00pm. No adjustments will be made after play begins.

Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

|
Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.

USTA Texas "No Late Entries" Policy for Juniors Due to a new USTA Texas internal procedure, junior division players will NOT be able to register for a tournament after the online published deadline. We are aware that currently parents reach out via email or phone to the USTA Texas staff and/or tournament director requesting to be manually added to the tournament after online registration has closed. If a player misses the registration deadline, then he/she will not be permitted to participate in that tournament
|
Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.
|
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
